You cannot use LS1 or 2 headers. If you didn't realize your car is front wheel drive. And your engine sits sideways, there fore they won't work.

I'll be 60 by the time we get headers. I just don't see this happening....

sorry, what i was trying to ask is has anyone tried to match up LS1 or LS2 headers to see if they could be modified....I guess this issue is like beating a dead horse around here huh, all I was wondering is if anyone has tried it, not speculation, if anyone has measured or compared the two.

Just wondering....

Please don't jump down my throat or freak out on someone who is asking a question

If you don't know the difference between front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. That's not my problem, your the one that asked a dumb *** question, maybe next time you will use the search function, so you don't sound so stupid. Headers are a lost cause at least for now, the LS4 fwd setup has only been around since 05 with the intro of the GXP. Maybe in a couple years there will be production headers, but until then do a search for headers and you will see all that has been to try and get some made. Oh and sorry bout bein a dick but it just gets annoying over and over and over again the same repeat posts.

Ls1 headers could probably work on the front bank the rear would be a super pain though you would probably have to make your own rear

No I really don't, I would rather of seen that someone actually had some made. But it won't happen. Awhile back 3 maybe 4 months ago there was a thread about getting some made by Milzymotorsports, all that was needed was 10 people to prepay, after like 2 months the thread got shot down by the Mods. After that I think everyone just lost interest. As I said before, didn't mean to be a dick, just came out that way after all the frustration of repeat posts.

would headers cause the need for a special tune in our cars?

For optimum performance yes. Would likely throw codes that would need to be tuned out.

I doubt it. There has been an ongoing debate about getting this done for a long time now. Your best bet is to have your local guys fab some up, and just pay the price for it. We're never, ever going to see mass produced headers for our vehicles. The LS4's just aren't a viable performance platform.

how hard would it be to port the headers? Mine are out right now getting ceramic coated should have them back by this Friday or next Monday. Car itself prob won't be ready to put back together until next Wednesday or Thursday, just depends on how long takes the head shop to seat the valves. Once they're done time to get everything back together and get the car back up and running.

interesting I figured with manifold porting you'd have to try and find a way to go down the runners as well :< that is easy work to do there *sighs* more work for the heads then I guess lol. I only did minimal work to the heads just to grind away all the excess casting away and polish, if I'm gonna port the headers should just port match everything.

What type of head work are you doing?

as of now I just did basic grinding getting rid of mold casting form the exhaust port and some polish work, I was gonna get a P&P job done on the heads but the shop wanted to change 800 to do the same basic work I just did and I can get a set of CNC heads for 1300 so figure just do it myself.
