Default Stainless LS4 Headers

I have the opportunity to have a set of stainless headers mocked up for our cars.
The owner of a local, well known shop expressed interest a few times in building a set of LS4 headers, but wants to make it (at least somewhat) worthwhile...

Please let me know what you think...
The more positive information I can provide, the more likely this would become a reality.

i love the thought of headers being developed and I hope it becomes a reality. Yet 1200 for them will be hard to justify........

Glad you stopped by, Scott. Without stepping on toes at NI, I was basically saying that you're not going to find anyone there...without actually saying it. Everyone there that is worth talking to is more active here and at www.NAIOA.com

The fabricator seems to be sensitive to keeping the price low...
I'll drive that point home...

This is great input...!
I'll be heading back to the header shop early next week.

When I first got the car, all I really wanted to do was drop the resonator..dirty it up a bit. Somehow that progressed into 'we can do headers, full custom exhaust'.

I will emphasize low price as a key factor.

Keep the comments flowing.................

Would definitely be interested in a decent set. An additional thing I would be interested in is if headers could be done with matching downpipe for the system. Many people have done hogan, but there are many that haven't.

+1 for mates with the hogan downpipe. How hard is the rear header going to be to get on?

Hopefully this set would be compatible with aftermarket exhaust.....those who want to do headers with stock size primaries and collectors (importandy? ) are idiots in my book.

I agree, no point in enhancing the flow upstream just to choke it down the line.

What are you guys running as far as catbacks? I see from your sigs that magnaflow and custom are common practices..
Understood re: matching or hogan dp

Rear header install difficulty level is going to be interesting. Not a whole lot of room up there. Hopefully no worse than pass side F-Body installations.

Quality will be maintained.. No point in going thru this effort for a sub-par product.

My next step is to get my impala up on a lift, measure it out.
I think all of this feedback will be helpful in bringing this to market...
Wish me luck. I'll post my progress on this thread......
