what neilownz said, I just have my heat shields off. When did the rebuild had the stock headers ceramic coated by a shop local in my state, I just didn't feel the need to re-install the heat shields.

See that looks bad ***, i dont think our manifolds are really that restrictive. Especially since really all there is for our cars are bolts on. I think the crossover tube into the rear manifoldis f-ing us. I figure just installing a cap on the rear manifold/crossover joing point. then merge the front and rear exhaust manifold together like a collector or run 2 seperate pipe with and X or H pipe. should Be able to bend the factory crossover tube over just enough to make clearance to a second small pipe, Really if udid that u would only need 2 inch pipe. for each side.

Well when you consider F-bodies typically pick up 20rwhp from a set of headers with only bolt-ons I'd say those are pretty restrictive. With mixerda's setup I'd say they are excessively restrictive, I'm sure the difference would be night and day.
Anybody consider a custom set?

This would solve some clearance issues..

I think we can make it work. That would be so sexy on our cars. dont think we would have to worry about clearance for the oil sensor, or mess with the DOD connectors.
Besides real men dont need hoods
