Default Should I buy the SSC lowering springs...???

I just emailed the guys over at SSC (superiorsportchassis) and they DO have the lowering springs for the 07 Monte SS. The drop is approximately 1.7" and the price is $172.87 plus $40 shipping and handling.

Are there going to be a rough ride ?

Should I buy them?

Yes you should buy them. They are relatively inexpensive, let us know how it goes.

Whats the better brand? Intrax or SSC?

I want a comfy ride, not a stiff eibach ride.

BTW: Can't fint the springs on summit..any links? I tried searching.

On my 2004 GP Comp G I run the SSc's and love the feel of them. Had Eibach's and they rode very harsh but the SSC's are nice and smooth.

Damn you guys are crazy dropping your cars 1.7", especially with those ground efx. Its gonna look awesome but there are gonna be issues with scraping. Camber may also be thrown off dropping the car that much.

Call summit phone line and request. It is not in their online catalog. I had to have them add the item number to their system and order.

You all think the 1.7 inch drop will make the car bottom out a lot?

BTW: How much of a drop are the Intrax springs?

UP to 1.8" on Intrax. Measure the drop on your car to get a better idea, 1.7" really isn't that much when I took some measurements. I'm not too worried about bottoming out as I don't drive the car every day.

Absolutely you will scape. I had 1.7 inch drop on my old Scion tC (no front or rear overhang) and I had to be careful. You will scrape your tailpipes for sure.

I see that Vogtland also has springs for our cars (959220). They only lower it 1.4". I might just get those.

The fender gap is hideous on these cars, well the montes anyways. I've always thought about dropping it to make it look better. Performance is good too. How much are people typically dropping the 2000-2005's? I don't want major scraping issues.

I have had a couple of cars lowereed, a thunderbird and a cougar. It's all about just being aware that the car is low and paying attention to where you are driving and parking lot curbs.
