Lower center of gravity = better handling. Plus they're stiffer, so you get less sway in the turns.

Once you drive a lowered/stiffer car, it is hard to go back!

Ordered the springs yesterday from SSC. Price went up to $198.90 as of June 1st supposedly due to "cost of steel". Hope to have them soon and on the car.

So far I think its very smooth for a lowering kit. I've ridden in cars that are lowered and way wilder than this....teeth-jarring ride, squeaks, and scraping on everything. For me, no scrapes, no rubbing, no squeaks so far. I love it, more a sports car ride that lets you know how it is reacting to the road.

You forgot to comment on the bone-jarring ride. How is it? How many miles on your OEM struts?

I might look into the SSC springs as well, on the GXP anyways we should be ok with the struts since their Bilstein I wouldn't expect them to be bad.

How many people put lowering springs on regular struts on POS cars with really high mileage?

I have a GXP with Bilstein struts @ 30k miles, there is no way these need to be changed, doesn't make sense.

Its really not that much different then stock...I just take things a bit slower. If there's any doubts holding you back about avoiding obstacles then you should just buy the springs anyway....it is no worse then stock I can honestly say.

Default Intrax drop...

If Summit fonds out they have them for the Grand Prix, it's 1.8 front and 2.2 rear, Anyone think that's too much? The GXP sits pretty high in the rear.

BTW: How much of a drop are the Intrax springs?

Why not order them from SSC?

SSC is well known in the w-body world, specifically Pontiacs.

I just installed Eibach 1'' lowering springs with KYB AGX struts on my 2004 GTP...suffice to say, I am not happy with the ride. I am considering the SSC springs with the AGX's...what struts are you using on your Comp G?
