intermediate shaft

Default intermediate shaft

Went to the stealer ship today. I felt some clicking in my steering wheel they said it was my intermediate shaft, it took them almost 8 hours to do it they said they had to take apart have the car to get to it is this true? and has any body else had this problem

I don't know about the LS4s, but an ISS swap in the 3800s was a pretty simple driveway job. I can't see the bolts on the LS4s being much harder to get to unless something from the larger engine is completely blocking it.

The 1st time I had mine done it was done in a couple hours. The second time they replaced the rack and the ISS and it didnt take a day to do it. Maybe it was the "new guy" working on your car???!?!

Maybe they wasted a bunch of time making sure somethin else wasnt broken.

My ISS was replaced in 45 min. According to the wrok order. They had the car for like 5 hours though, because I was at work.

Yeah i kind of thought so 8 hours is way to damn long on a good note that is probably the best car i have ever owned. I love my little colorado but that damn that thing is fast

It took them about an hour to change my ISS while I waited. BTW, how does your Borla exhaust sound?

O its sounds great the best i have herd yet worth the extra $ not raspy good loud very deep noise and hardly any drone the only thing that i can hear is the 4cly mode kick in sounds alittle weird but that happens with all of them

yeah i do im to worried about the sound getting to raspy i do want to put on a racing type cat i know that will change the exhaust note alittle. Im trying to do as much as i can to the car without voiding the warrinty we purchased a bumper to bumper through gm for 90,000 miles dont wont to lose that
