Complete 2002 LQ4 6.0L Engine /w 51k miles
This LQ4 6.0 engine was removed from a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD two weeks ago. I purchased all of the takeout warranty/replacement/core etc engines from the local GM Chevy dealership.
I was told by dealer it was removed because it had slight lifter tick or piston slap noise when it was cold that the customer repeatedly complained about. Dealer turned away the customer several times stating to the customer that it was very normal and common for these engines when very cold out to have slight valvetrain tick until the engine warms up. After repeated complaints to GM and several dealerships they finally decided to replace the engine under warranty with a new GM crate LQ4 engine.
The dealer sold me the engine stating the above information about it. I have never ran it or installed it. Also I haven't disassembled anything on it to find out its condition any in way. It turns over smooth and is very clean. I also don't see any oil leaks. I am selling the engine as-is because I did not hear it run or pull it out myself. It did start up and run when removed. I try and give as much information as possible, but due to the dealer not internally inspecting the engine, I cannot provide any guarantee or warranty of any type. The engine could possibly have something more serious wrong than just normal lifter tick or cold piston-slap. So I want a buyer to understand fully that I will not accept returns for any reason. I recommend a full inspection/tear down before installation.
ALSO INCLUDES A FACTORY ENGINE WIRING HARNESS AND PCM COMPUTER. This engine is complete down to the belt still on it! Has all factory accessories etc, fuel injection. Pretty much everything.
Buyer is welcome to pick up locally (I can forklift/load the engine on a pallet for you). Also I can arrange and freight ship you this engine for the approx cost of $150-$300 depending on location in the US. Please do not email me for shipping costs as I can only run an actual freightquote.com shipping quote for the winning bidder.
I can deliver within $150 miles for $1/mile one way (150 miles away, $150 delivery)

ehh, but you're a left coast Marine. J/K Congrats. You're closure and have $$ in hand.
SoCalSpd, I've been checking around here for a similar type deal. Each of the dealerships I've contacted said this is a No No and that warranty replacement engines should go back to GM for inspection. What was different about your arrangement? I know this may sound like I'm busting your ***** here. I'm not, I'm asking what the loophole is so that I can find one here on the east coast. If not, I'm going to try to certified recycling.
