Default badass Th400 setup for sale or full built 6 speed swap.

So I did it, and I did it right, and a th400 setup is just not for me. The combo is completely streetable, but I drive my car way too many places. I think I just like my car more for the fun then just drag racing.

I'm willing to trade this setup for a FULL built six speed swap. Including clutch, hydrolics, transmission, bell housing, bolts, flywheel, driveshaft cause thats what this combo will come with. Other then that I can only sell it outright, but it's an expensive setup. At the same time you probably wont find a nicer, CLEANER setup anywhere. All parts are low mileage and clean. Sorry I don't have any pics of the driveshaft. I just bought and put it in, so I havnt taken pics yet. I will for anyone who wants to see it all together.

- Rossler th400, I believe its a terminator 3. Any rate, its built for 1200+ hp and it has a JW ultra bell 30.1 spec bellhousing and trans brake ($2600+ new)
-Earl Trans cooler with AN fittings on trans and cooler, Quick disconnects for easy removal and all braided lines. ($300 new)
- yank th400 crossmember. ($150 new)
- TCI flexplate ($200 new)
- yank extreme series 3600 stall (maybe 6 psses brand new) setup for lsx pilot. I just bought this. ($1000 new)
- Cheetah SCS shifter. I have all the mounting stuff for this and top console. look like it belongs in the car. (I forget, like $200 new)
- PST 3.5 inch custom driveshaft for th400 to 9inch (48 1/8 inches I believe when I ordered it) ($400 new)

As you can see, there's about 5 grand in this setup, it's beautiful and just about unbreakable. I was gonna run this setup with my 454 and a 300+ shot.

Here's a few pics in the car.
Bigger pics at the end of this album

Let me know what you have as far as trades, as for selling outright, I'd let it all go for $3000.

Only thing I'd be willing to sell separate is the converter provided everything else is sold also.

Thats when it slows the car down on decel right?

If so, no. You have to rev match before the car starts moving again. I thought it was better that way with a RMVB. The rpms just fall back to idle when you let off the gas.

Also forgot the mention is has a VSS, and I will include the connector so all you have to do is cut into your current VSS and splice.

Honestly it doesn't even feel different other then it revs up a little before it catches to go.

is it possible to olny have braking in 3rd? cause it feels like it does in 3rd. I'd have to go drive it to know though. I just know it revs down hard when I get done with my pass like my 6 speed did when I forgot to take it out of gear at the end of 4th.

Honestly im not sure i've never owned a transmission with one. I believe Art Car makes one. I just like the added braking force. My Duramax does it with its Allison and i think its the neatest thing when stopping a load and every car i have is manual so i am so used to leaving it in gear to slow it down.

Was your video racing the bikes on the highway with your 6 speed?

Yea that was with my six speed. Only real race with this trans is in the Multimedia section right now, vs a built 347 d1sc vette at 10psi.

I always thought decel was a th400s worst enemy and thats why it didnt compression brake, I could be wrong though.

I was wondering what was going on with the shifting in the video haha.

I dont know really anything about autos but have been contemplating switching to one since the car is basically a drag car.

I can tell you right now when you're drag racing, compression braking doesn't make any difference at the end of 3rd gear at 130+mph. lol. I didnt even know they made it for th400s.

its here ready for you if youre interested. A setup like this wont hit tech very often

Hi, around how many miles are on this setup ? Also im did your trap speed or dyno hp go way down when you switched from the t-56 becuase converter slipage ? In a setup like this you can usualy expect 10-15% slippage correct? Thanks.

Not sure on the trans. I put about 50 miles on it. Previous owner had it a couple years, but his car is track only, and didn't go very often at that.

the converter and ds have about 50 miles on them.

I Didn't bother to dyno the car with the th400, I suspect it would be around 550 though. I suspect my trap would go down a couple mph, that's to be expected, but I havn't taken it to the track with this setup, just a couple street passes.

the trans performs flawless and smooth as can be. the ONLY reason I want to go back to a six speed is for the mobility.

Let me make something clear guys that maybe wasn't clear when I posted this.

I'm not willing to trade this setup for your stock t56 and stock / spec 3 clutch unless you're willing to put up some cash with it.

If I can find a built t56 with some kind of twin disc setup in good condition, that would be something I'd be willing to trade straight across for. Its not in my best interest to trade all this money in trans parts for a stock t56 with a spec clutch. I need something comparable to what I'm offering.

If you wanna trade me a stock t56, all thats gonna be worth to me is a core to send off and have built, which will be another $1000 right there. Not to mention I'll need to buy a 1200 dollar clutch.

Sorry if this seems harsh, I don't mean to be. Ive just got like 5 offers of people trying to trade me a stock t56, spec clutch and stock hydrolics. When I ask how much money theyre willing to put up on top of that they don't respond. I guess people just want something for nothing.

thanks.
