Anyone here need an LQ9 shortblock? Its my spare when I have to pull and rebuild the engine I'm running. I have put about 400 miles on it since I bought it. I have run an LS6 and a hot cam with LS6 heads in it without issue. Selling it as you see it with the stock LQ cam in it for $350 +shipping. Or better yet, save some dough and pick it up if you're close. If you ever had to build an LS engine you'll know the covers and short block completion parts are worth it alone. Have a valley cover that goes with it too.
Great for mild boosting or applications to about 500hp or so. The iron block itself will take 800-850 without issue or mods.
It has lived on one of my engine stands under an engine bag for the last 5 months. Nice, inexpensive boost engine. Or an inexpensive replacement for a shelled out stock 5.7.

I had it shipped to me via USF Reddaway. Class 70, #350 pallet weight. You can get with any shipping company and get a quote with this info. I had like no idea this shortblock would be this instantly popular. lol I need to crate it up for an accurate measurement. But I would think you could get an accurate quote with what I have provided. I'm at 81004 for shipping origin.

I didn't think those were flat tops either. I was told it was an LQ9 when I bought it. Makes sense though. The pistons worked out really well with the LS6 heads I was using. Didn't even have to mess with my tune. Should be even better with larger combustion chamber (72cc LS3/L92) heads for forced induction (lower comp. ratio) if thats the case.
