The HP/TQ claim and the cost of the build all look totally outrages to me. I see nothing in the build that would warrant the supposed power produced. The only C5R blocks that were produced are all 427 cubic inches,so where is the high dollar cost of this build?

Edit...I missed the part that the HP/TQ is flywheel rated. However, even with a 12% reduction due to a powertrain loss your RWHP would still be approximately 523. That's more than I've ever hear of being produced from the best 383 builders around.

I'm no longer an engine builder, just the bill payer on this motor although I use to work for PME Racing Engines for 15 years. Google that! All dynos vary a bit. I choose to believe this engine builder as I have know him for 30+ years. And I have raced on-track for 50+ years, including Corvettes for 40+ years. You can freely choose to believe whatever makes you happy. And your resume says? Good to have the experts, watchdogs and truth police working hard. Thanks for your valuable input.

I think a dyno sheet speaks for its self and he says that he has it.

I'm not surprised it can do it. Can you post up the dyno sheet...?

Your welcome! I'm glad to hear that your experienced,my first corvette was a 1969 427 that was purchased in 1970. My "complete" engine (with the long block being comparable to your build part for part) and including a new LS6 block didn't cost $15,500. W2W which assembled my motor was consider one of the premier engine builders in 2007. The price you are asking presently ($6,500) seems to be fair and reasonable for a well built 383 in excellent condition.

My engine made 472/432 rwhp with what I consider to be better H/C/ intake combo than yours. The only way I could possibly make 500+ HP would be with a TFS or AFR 215 heads,FAST ported 92,and ARH " 2 7/8". In my opinion the calculated 523+ rwhp is not doable with your combo...truth police.

I hope you sell your engine it sounds like a strong one the way it sits.

232/241 .570/.559 cam. What lsa?

IMHO, that is a pretty small cam, but I like the idea of running less lift and more duration though. I'll bet your springs are happy. What springs ? .600 rated 918's, or some .650 rated 921 duals ??

I would also like to say its a little on the rich side as Dave was pointing out.

It seems from my personal posting experiences that critics here are plentiful and come in droves. Buyers at ANY offer, be it reasonable or unreasonable, are extremely and exceedingly scarce.

Gotta love opinions, everyone's got one. Keep em coming...................

Perhaps, based on all the negative opinions here I should just sell it as a boat anchor for $5.00! But then I would probably get criticized for wasting a good Canton oil pan!

Those numbers are almost unbelievably strong for what you have there. Good luck with your sale.

FWIW, you have a very low post count. People are going to question your claims. Don't expect anyone to just fork over $6500 without asking you to back them up. This is the internet, and people get scammed everyday. Nobody knows you.

people here tend to rely on fact and proof, if you posted a receipt or dyno sheet that'd prob. shut them up. As to your stroker, it looks healthy. All C5-R's were 7.0L though and I think debuted in 99.
