Are these as thin as they go for an MLS gasket? Was going to call Cometic to see if they had .025" but these will do fine also. I need to transfer money into PayPal...

.027" is as thin as they go. Buyers should deffinatlly check piston height before buying a gasket this thin.

PM sent back!

Thanks for the heads up Beast96Z! My pistons are +.008 below the deck, plus valve reliefs, so I am good to go

Sounds like it'll be just the gasket for you. You usaully don't see many LS-1's with a piston below deck.

I was surprised to see it too. You don't see to many people running Ross pistons either. I would rather they came out of the hole so everything doesn't have to be special to get correct CR and quench..

hmmm about that bore size. I have a 3.905 bore with a shaved block with pistons .010 out of the hole and forged pistons with 7cc valve reliefs for 2.055 1.60 valves. 98 heads, o-ringed, with large chambers. what do you think? I am looking for greator compression.

Your quench would be only .017", not much to go there with 2.055 valves even with 7 cc reliefs. What size chambers are your heads? how much milled? These gaskets put me at 11.0 CR with 62cc chambers and I get a .035" quench, which is about perfect for what I want...

I believe by looking at them and not actually measuring them that the chambers are stock cc. save for the new valve seats and larger valves. Heads were one of 3 sets origonally built for a turbo project so I am sure they are large chamber and not less than stock. Heads have only minor clean up and I had o-rings installed. Will these gaskets be compatalbe with o-rings?
I think 98 heads came with 67.67 chambers?
