Default Baer GT+ system, complete, C5 Calipers, 13 1/8 rotors

Hello all,

I have these in a box in my garage. Ran them for about three months and then switched to the Porsche setup. They are still in excellent condition.

$795

Consists of everything it originally came with for complete install:

* C5 PBR polished calipers with red "Baer" lettering (extra cost bling option);
* Baer two piece rotors, alum hats, slotted rotors--no drill holes. Unlike the C5 upgrade elsewhere, these rotors are two piece and can be easily replaced at low cost. Additionally, the rotors are larger than the C5 setup--they are 13 1/8". The greater mass provides for more heat soak area etc;
* Baer proprietary brackets;
* Bedded in pads;
* SS rubber covered hoses;
* all included fastners;
* NAS fasteners on rotors

These fit w/my stock 17 inch wheels.

New you're looking at about $1100

Regards

Steve

Do these come with caliper relocation brackets to clear the rotors, or would I need to source these myself?

Also, will the calipers only fit the Baer rotors, or will they also fit C5 rotors?

This kit comes with everything needed to mount the calipers: relocation brackets, bolts, hoses, pads, and rotors. Total kit as supplied by Baer. Works great and looks super behind yorr wheels.

This kit is designed for the larger diameter Baer rotors, 13 1/8 inch. The C5 rotors are approx 12 inch and there'd be a large amount of overhang and therefore lost braking effort. Totally designed for the larger rotor and the greater amount of leverage applied. They work great and look super.

If only they were 600 bucks i'd have some nice brakes. If they are still around when i save up some more money i'll get them.

Default Baer GT+ Racing Brake kit

The install procedure differs between the LT1 and LS1

LT1 requires you get your high speed rotary saw and cut off the two ears on the bottom of the spindle. Then bolt on the brackets and calipers.

LS1 doesnt require this surgery and only requires a grinding wheel to smooth out some rough spots on the spindle to allow the finished portion of the brackets to mount flush to the spindle.

I did the install and its no big deal.
