Default Anybody need a PAC OEM-1 ? 98-02

I may have an extra PAC OEM-1 for 98-02 Firebird/Camaro with Monsoon stereo system. BRAND NEW.

If you don't know what this is... let me explain.

This is a 100% Plug & Play adapter for your STOCK headunit. What it does is give you RCA Pre-Amp outputs & a turn on wire WITHOUT having to cut any factory wires. Pretty slick.

This would be perfect for someone who wants to add a subwoofer & amp, without having to replace the stock headunit, and without having to cut/modify any stock wiring.

Let me know if you may be interested.

Paid 54.00

will sell for 46.00 shipped.

you won't find this cheaper brand new anywhere.

Post here if you are interested, and if I have an extra one, I will PM you immediately.

Thanks!

I couldn't give mine away. I bought it and never used it for my suburban even though PAC told me on the phone I had to have this for it to work. Mind you, I called to make sure I HAD to have this thing. When it was not required they wouldn't let me return it... therefore they suck IMO.

I look at it this way :

If you want to take the chance and CUT & SPLICE factory wiring... yea, you could do this diffently with an inline converter. I however, would rather leave the factory wiring alone, so I can go back to stock in 30 seconds. This is 100 % plug & play, so my life is alot easier. It is a neat product in my opinion.

No it wasn't a matter of cutting and splicing. It would not work with my setup at all. I didn't need an inline converter or anything. I don't recall the details of how I installed it, but my irritation is that I called PAC before taking anything apart and made sure this is what I needed. When I found they were wrong and it wasn't required (and didn't even work correctly) for my application they wouldn't take it back in return. Prior to ordering I told them exactly what vehicle and system I had.

Anyway... I just like to take the opportunity to complain about PAC.

Plus I purchased the other PAC kit that allows me to retain my steering wheel controls, and that works flawless as well.....

It wasn't for my f-car it was for a suburban with the Bose system. Didn't work for that. Wasn't luck, they misinformed me (still mad obviously) and wouldn't let me return the damn thing!

i got a question. would ordinary auxillary rca adapters simply from bestbuy or circuit city be ok to use? or does it have to be those pac oem-1 adapters?

you can by rca's that 'spice' into your existing wiring if you like. However, remember you WILL be cutting into factory wiring if you do that. This kit eliminates the need to touch any factory wiring... simple plug & play. Up to you !
