Fro, I got my Paypal back in order. Some crook tried to rob me. I feel bad about the cam, did you sell it?

I am interested in the heads. I will drop you an email.

Yeah, I sold the cam.....sorry about your problems. Thanks to you for being a stand up guy and letting me know you had to back out. The heads are still for sale, let me know if you are interested.

Regards,

Ben

Thanks Ben. I will email you tomorrow from my AOL account when I get back into town.

But in the meantime, I liked the size cam you had and will probably buy something similar. Will there be any clearance issues with that size cam with these heads?

Hey, another question: are these fully assembled with the Patriot dual springs, like the set advertised on their site?

Raymond,

Yes, they are fully assembled with patriot dual gold springs, etc. Further, I had them hand finished, so they were dissassembled, finished, and reassembled and checked. They are ready to go....regarding your other question, I bought them to use with the 224 cam we were talking about. There will be no issues with PTV clearance with that cam. Talk to you later.

Ben

Pewter53,

From Patriot's website:

2027 5.3 Center Bolt Assy. $1,295.00 pair

BTW, Assy. means assembled, not bare heads as you referenced. Plus, these heads have a lot of hand work in them after purchase. Thanks though for your insightful post, obviously based on a few seconds of web surfing research.

You're right, the website is not correct. The current price for assembled 5.3 stage II heads is $1195. I just called them directly for that information. It still makes these heads (brand new, completely hand finished) a good deal. Thanks for the heads up.

The LS6 style heads are 1195 and the 5.3s are 1095! Look at Gunnars posts on here and ya will see what where talking about! They are hand finished but some times its for show ya will have to compare the flow numbers!

Well, you're right, the post says $1095....contrary to what Patriot said when I called them...or maybe I misunderstood. Anyway, these are new, and have been hand finished...so ttt again! Or...maybe trade for a built A4 for a 99 C5?
