Not really... the 225/238/114 would make a very nice blower cam

could you pm me more info about the 2nd cam? I need a new cam to replace my hotcam, as I'm building a supercharged lt4 as we speak. I already have 1.6 RR's, could you recommend some springs/retainers to go along with it? thanks

man, why didn't you list these a week ago?! That first cam would have been sold to me already, instead I had to compromise with something a little different. That should be a mean cam. Good luck. BTW, are you Joe Overton?

Actually, I've had these for sale on cz28 for over a week without much resonse. I used that cam for a 383 road racer, and it worked so well i had another one ground..... just haven't had an opportunity to use it.

I would recommend 1.6 RR, hardened pushrods, definitely new springs (i'd go with comp 918 beehives), retainers, seats and locks. This is counting that you already have full intake/exhaust work

I understand supporting mods for any cam, i meant would you say stock heads, slight port job or what? Its not too big so i would say its pretty good for stock heads or ported stockers

You could run stock heads with it...i wouldn't... If you have the money i would port them because the horsepower numbers with ported heads are head shoulders above stock heads.

true but then your looking at something thats around $500 to a project easily over $1K, hence the reason there are a lot of people running around with cam-only cars, i think that cam would be close to the limit for a cam only car, ofcourse heads make all the difference but that isnt always an option for everyone

The only one that is still available is the 242/248 solid roller, which would be geared more towards a street/ strip car with good ported heads and high compression.
