Default FS - Lingenfelter CNC'd LS6 Heads (pics)

I have a pair of Lingenfelter CNC'd LS6 heads for sale. These heads have just been gone through at MachineTech in Oceanside, CA. The work done consisted of cleaning up the decks, installing brand-new lightweight LS6 valves, new CompCams 918 springs, new CompCams titanium retainers, multi-angle valve job, new seals, etc. The Lingenfelter part number on these heads is 88958622, they are selling on the LPE site for $1,140.80 each (not sure if there is a core charge for this head). LPE sells these heads with GM springs and retainers, not 918's and not titanium retainers.
These heads are not street legal in Calif and are more than I need. I will take $2,500 for the pair shipped to anywhere in the contiguous 48 states. Shipping elsewhere may be done at an increased cost to the buyer.

To answer your question, the price is WAY too high.

You want $2500 for used heads that are $1140 each($2280). Ain't gonna happen when you can buy new AFRs for $2180 from a sponsor. Not tryin to be dick, but more realistically is maybe $1700 or so. You'll never get back what you got in them.

Thanks for the inputs...a few comments:
1. Lingenfelter heads are used to begin with so these being "used" heads shouldn't matter, every moving part on these heads is new. Not familiar with AFRs but I know that there are many aftermarket heads available now to compete with genuine GM. Lingenfelter used to sell these heads for much more but now has dropped the price to compete with AFR and others.
2. All specs are on the Lingenfelter website but these are rated at in excess of 300 CFM at only 0.550 lift...AFRs are rated at 300 at 0.600 lift.
3. rons 00z...if you can get your hands on an "identical" set of these heads for $600 I'll buy all you can get! New lightweight valves, CompCams 918s and titanium retainers alone are worth $600. Maybe $2,500 is too high but let's not go overboard here.

If someone is genuinely interested in these performance heads and has a fair price that they would like to offer please send a PM.

yeah my case is a little diffrent when i bought mine on here there were a bunch of people that wanted them. but realisticly even if they are new it's going to be hard to sell them. but if you do thats awsome because that just means i'll have around the same resale fro my heads.

What kind of flow #'s with these heads? Are they just stock LS6 castings that have been CNC'd?

The runners must be really hogged out if they are from stock ls6 castings and yet still flow 300 cfm at .550 lift. I wanna stay with small runners for better velocity. Peak doesn't mean anything when it is a street car.

all head prices are dropping fo r lsx engines. one reason is these heads will be obsolete within the year. they already have a new 13 degree design out and an 11 degree will be out soon if it is not already. i am sure the heads are nice but the price kills it. good luck

I have been looking at GMPP and LPE and AFR for price comparisons. Based on their pricing, I will sell these heads for $1,800...at this price they are less than any other source and no other source offers CompCam 918's nor CompCam titanium retainers. This will be the last go-round on these heads before I build a sand rail engine with them. For those who are not familiar with MachineTech, check with Steve at Race Engine Development (LS1Tech sponsor), they are his head machine shop of choice.

You still dont see the light. You have comp 918's which are no big deal but you think they are. You have an ls6 head which is cheap these days. LPE is top dollar no matter what they sell and wont compete price wise with any vendor on here. Yes they are quality but ls6 heads are ls6 heads no mater who cnc's them. You can get them for a lot less new from a vendor here. Good luck! You over paid for them in the first place is the problem. You'll never re-coup that.

Ya, 918's with the matching titanium retainers are kinda at the bottom of the spring spectrum because most use double springs now. They are good springs but you can get doubles for the same money almost. Afr and ET and TFS all use doubles.
