Default Callies crank, LS2 block, and Cometics

Hi I'm selling:

Callies 4 inch stroke crank that has about 1500 miles on it and is machined and ready to go in a 383, 402, or a 408. The motor lost a rod so I had the crank magnafluxed and checked out. They turned the rods 20 and the mains 10 be on the safe side. Since this crank is induction hardened at Callies it still has hardened journals down to 30. I'll let it go for 900 obo.

LS2 block this block needs work, but it would be great for someone who wants to build a sleeved motor or an LS2 block for mock-up. 2 of the sleeves are toast from when the rod went and there's 2 holes in the side of the block. I'll take 150 obo.

Pair of Cometic head gaskets new in packaging for a 3.9 inch bore and a .045 compressed thickness for great quench. I'll do 140 obo.

Thanks, Brian

Crank will fit a LS1 block but might have trouble with the reluctor wheel if you do not use the right wiring harness.

I can snap some pics of the block for you if you want to send me your email address.

The crank will fit in an LS1 block to make a 383 inch motor, this combonation uses the very common 6.125 rod and a stroker piston.

I'm sorry, but the cometics are sold

Thanks a lot

I'm not sure what he means about the harness, but as far as I know the crank is 100 percent compatible with the LS1 even down to the reluctor wheel. I know the tooth count and everything is the same on this crank as the factory crank. I'll get ahold of Callies tomorrow and get back with you with what I find outr from them.

The only thing I can think of that he means is that for me to do the LS2 in my car I had to re-wire the cam position sensor into the front of the motor instead of the rear like the ls1, but this is not dependent on the crankshaft at all. This has an excitor built into the LS2 timing chain and uses that to locate the cam instead of at the rear like an LS1.
