Thumbs up Bunch of Raptors FS -- SPECIAL ENDS TODAY!

LAST CALL FOR RAPTORS AT $85. IN ONE HOUR THE PRICE INCREASES TO $105 (starting July 4th)!

We just got a small shipment of Raptors in stock. If you have a manual transmission car that you race, you need one of these! I have one on my personal car and love it. It's bright, easy to install, and super accurate.

Link to Raptor product page: http://www.mphparts.com/mm5/merchant...Category_Code=

In the past we've been asked, why should I buy a Raptor instead of Shift Light XYZ? Well, here are some important distinctions that we think help justify the cost of the Raptor. It's definitely quite a bit cheaper than many shift lights out there, but there are one or two that cost less up front.

For starters, the Raptor comes with a 10 foot cable on it, meaning you can wire it to just about any car without any additional cutting/splicing on the harness. Some of the less expensive lights we've seen come with very short cable (1-2 feet max). In addition, the Raptor RPM setpoint is adjusted by using simple to read/use rotary dials -- no complex dip switches here to map out the appropriate RPM. This means adjusting the shift RPM on the light can be done anytime without much effort.

The housing is bead blasted, anodized 6061-T6 aluminum whereas other lights are made of plastic. The Raptor comes with mounting brackets, LED covers, and has the highest LED count we've seen on a compact shift light.

Perhaps most importantly, the Raptor is available RIGHT NOW We ship all black body Raptors same day -- and of course, shipping is absolutely free. Other color bodies will drop ship, also usually same day, except for this week -- our rep at Raptor is away for a few days so all drop ship orders will be delayed.

We do have a coupon special going on right now. Just email raptorcoupon@mphparts.com for an instant coupon. We're bound by our dealer agreement to not advertise our sale price, but just as quickly as you can send an email to raptorcoupon@mphparts.com, our automated coupon system will send you a code back.

If you have any questions feel free to call us, email us, PM us, etc.

Have a good weekend,
Tony @ MPH

Sorry to hear that... but Rick at Raptor is a great guy if you ordered through him. Anyway we were advertising that we are getting Raptors in today (Friday) earlier in the week in the sponsor sales section but I don't think as many people visit that section as they do here.

I got my Harlan shift light a few days after I ordered it and bought 65' of 20 gauge wire and the necessary items to install the light for only $5. Can secure down with either black tape or velcro. No need to pay $85 for something when you can get it for $55, in my opinion.

PM sent.

chae, I agree -- if you don't see value in only having to solder/splice once, the machined mounting brackets (e.g. not using tape or velcro), increased LED count, or simple RPM configuration -- then there's no reason to pay extra. The Harlan light is a great unit, but nobody can say that the Raptor and Harlan are the same. The question is whether or not the extra/different features of the Raptor are worth $30 to you.

All PMs and emails responded to.

Also please note, I edited the original post. 99% of the orders we get are for black bodies, so we only stock black bodies. We can dropship other color bodies through Raptor which invariably happens same day as well. However Raptor has advised us that all dropship orders will be delayed next week until Thursday.

Anything that we stock (which is every color with a black body) ships immediately. Sorry for the confusion, that was totally my fault.

Yeah if I wasn't planning on heads/cam pretty soon I may have went for the superior Raptor, but right now I'm trying to save a few bucks until I can get to the real build-up of my engine.
