Face plated is not good for the street or road racing right? Or is it?

You have the internals I am looking for, but the face plating worries me.

A little more detail on face plating benifits and negatives would help me please.

do a quick search, there are two pages of threads about "faceplating"

and yes it is 1-4th only, 5 and 6 still have the syncros, etc..

In a nutshell It takes out the clutching action of the syncroizer which spins two gears upto the same speed before enganging. These syncros slow you down some on the shift. Replaces the regular cone syncro's with dog type engagement like a motorcycle trans or Mack truck transmission. So you can break torque and jam gears like as fast as you can pull the lever. They used to be called crashbox a lot in the old days. Streetablility is about the drivers skill more than the trans. Match engine speed to gear to roadspeed and it fall into place smooth. My wife couldnt drive one, me i want it just bad timing i bought so much other stuff this month
