iron408 shortblock, cheap (damaged) *pics added*
Im selling this cheap of course because of the damage and also i am getting out of the racing hobby, its just too expensive. I take paypal but have to ask for 3% fees, and i'll also accept a money order. Price is FIRM at $2000+ shipping.
THE GOOD: 6.0 Iron block
Eagle forged crank
Eagle H-beam rods with ARP bolts
Wiseco pistons # K394A3
ARP head studs
ARP main studs
LS7 lifters
LS6 oil pump
Comp Cam 244/248 .612/.615 110LSA
Double roller timing chain
This entire setup has about 5k miles on it and it ran great. It made 481hp and 476 ft. lbs through 1 3/4" pacesetters and patriot heads. I was constantly getting horrible wheel hop with the truck when i got on the gas so it was never beat on. It was my daily driver, so most of the miles where back and forth to work and about 20 dyno pulls. The tune was not yet perfected, the timing was low, about 23*, and the a/f was around 11.9:1 so there was more power in it as well. If seriously interested i can put you in contact with my tuner and he will vouch for the motor.
THE BAD: I went to start it up one day and it apparently had a leaking head gasket. It busted a rod ON STARTUP, not at high rpm. The only apparent damage was the rod and two marks on the cylinder wall, below where the rings contact the wall.

any pics of the piston skirts on the broken clylinder?
looks like the rod may have ben bent before it broke. there seems to be wear on the center of the core, inline with the rod marks.
notice the cross hatching everywhere else in the pic. that area appears to be stressed. nothing a hone cant fix.
