I realize that a cai is a mod, but all I was wondering if anyone knew of a near stock (no exhaust mods, drag radials, weight reduction, etc..) that went that faster. I dont really care since I dont even own the car anymore. But just wondering.

If I bought the car with the exhaust and the Drs are replacement tire for street use is that stock?JK! But I would consider a CAI vs. a cat back or muffler an even exchange.

LS1's may have been touched by God

But LT1's been touch by devil

BTW: ive seen a bone stock (down to paper filter) 93 Z28 w/ 6 speed run low 13's at the track.

i dont think 13.6 is all that hard to get to. mine ran a 13.7 bone stock. including stock intake, catback, and was on 17s in the front with 18s in the back on kumhos

I would say high 13's tops. The magazines ran flat 14's back in the day. The Lt1 is in fact easier to launch than the LS1.

A CAI isn't going to make more that maybe a tenth and a half difference. So, yeah, I'd say you probably would qualify for the "bone-stock" record, or come real close.

well kumhos suck *** and 18s would make traction even worse so even tho its kinda a mod its not for the best

How do big sticky tires make it worse than 245 GSCs? Man ive seen some guys with kumhos get killer traction for street tires. Thats all my buddy ever ran in his 11.sec car just to be sneeky.
