Painted water pump?
Painted water pump? Anybody ever do this or powder coat them? I'm doing an electric and was thinkin about doin it while its off?

I paid someone to paint my WP, Intake and Acc bracket red this summer.
It looked good, but it flaked after the install. Which is really too bad because otherwise, he did a good job.
Powdercoating would have been a much smarter idea.
I've since stripped them all and left them that way.

I painted mine gloss black with Dupli color stuff. I sanded it with 320, primed, two coats of gloss, and a light coat of clear:
