I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but when I start it up cold, they're quiet, but once it gets to running temperatures they get alot more chattery..

When I am cruising in say 2nd gear and I give it half maybe a little more than half throttle, it will stay there for a second then if I give it more it will realize I'm trying to accelerate if that makes sense.. I never noticed this until today.. This could be either lack of spark or fuel right?

This is also from LE
"Make sure and adjust the rockers to 1/8 turn past zero lash."
We will get this sucker right!
Again check the plugs and wires. Watch all around the headers in the dark for arching.

AGREED! haha

Do you guys recommend on just adjusting them when it's off and turn motor over by hand? (I did that way, they were still loud, then I adjusted when running and they are STILL pretty chattery..)

Damn, I did 1/2 turn.. 1/8 seems like very little! But really, what do I have to lose, hp!? (like I can lose anymore!) Wires are all good, just by visual check during day.. I'll start it up at check for arcing in a couple minutes.

No arcing, I'll be adjusting to 1/8 tomorrow.

stock lifters 1/4 turn is more than enough. What kind of comp cams lifters are they? IIRC the Comp-R ones need very little preload. I do a dynamic setting with the car running. One rocker at at time.

Stock preload is 1 turn +/- a 1/4 turn. With that said, on my stock replacement lifters from comp I ran about a 1/4 turn. What does your sweep look like on the valve stem? I agree that you need to run your valves again and use the EVOIC method. It's the most fail safe way to do it. Also there is nothing wrong with a mail order tune on a H/C car, you just have to log your car with AutoTap/Datamaster/etc. so you can have the guy make adjustments. I sent my computer back to Ion 2 times and the tune was dead on. I went and had a dyno tune done and didn't gain anything, but driveability improved a little, not enough to justify the $400 tag though.
