Race Header Questions
I bought a set of LPP Race Headers. I live in a small rural area where we do not have emissions. My question is would it be illegal if I ran the headers in my car since they do not have the EGR/AIR fittings?

I don't think it would be an issue untill you go to get your car inspected to renew the license plates. In Missouri they don't check emmisions yet but the inspector is supposed to make sure the EGR, cats, etc, are there and working. I suppose it wouldn't be a problem if you know the right person!

Haha, damn you took that to another level. But he's right...only way they'll be able to tell is if a cop lays down and looks under your car and if he tries to give you a ticket tell him you got the LPP's becuase of the built in/low profile cats they have, or some bs like that..They can't prove it unless they hook it up and if they don't have emission testing in that area then they most likely won't be able to..

I was joking. He'll more than likely go to a federal pen and face a lifetime of lovin' from Bubba.

I can't say that I know anyone who's ever been busted, or anyone who's had
someone do an inspection outside of the standard annual (or biannual)
inspections, but there is a $25,000 fine for tampering with emissions equipment.
