lt1 in a s10 performance upgrade

when it comes to suspension(traction) you will not get the correct answers since nobody here has leafsprings, you already had someone suggest subframe connectors.

So you say do the posi, the 4.10 gears and get the traction bars and that should be good to go? The only reason i was considering the cam upgrade is due to two things, one the rear main seal has a minor leak, so that needs to be replaced and two, my headers ceramic coating is just flaking off, so i need to hve them redone, free of charge of coarse. And also, my truck is reading ''both o2 sensors are reading lean. Would you say that would be b/c i never retighened the header collector bolts again after i let the truck run a few days and it might have loosend up a little to let exhaust gases out? Or do yo uthink its the o2 sensors are bad?
The guy who did the swp is worrying that its the placement of the o2 sensors that we put them in, but the thing is we put the driver side in exactly where the o2 sensor was on the orig. Y pipe, and the passneger side, we actually did closer than the camaro had it. So i dont think the o2 sensor placement woudl be it, right?

POSI is a must at the track if you dont have it already. one tire fire's dont post good 60 footers. lol.
catback would give a decent gain. its probably the bottleneck in the system now being single 2.25"
a cam would really wake the LT1 up. check the stickey for stock head / bigger cam guide.

That looks pretty cool the way it is,lol. I've always been a fan of s10's w/V8's in them..I've got an 03' s10 zq8, that I lowered another 2". Once that 4cyl dies, Im gonna through an LS' 5.3l setup in it, cam,etc..Should be fun.

I dunno whats available for V-8 swap S-10's but I would get some Long Tubes and have custom 2.5" True Duals done before anything else. Adding a cam is nice and all but what good is it if its being really restricted by Shorty's and a sub-par exhaust system? Also a larger TB or porting to the stocker will be virtually worthless at this point in modding so I would recommend you put the money elsewhere for now. Apparently our stock TB's are good to about 450hp and the Manifold's are pretty damn good as well. So basically if it were me I would add a better full exhaust system before I would do a cam because the gains would probaly be similar since it would be choked.

long tubes in this truck are a bitch to fit. I dont even want to go through the trouble to make them fit. But yes true duals are a definate. That i can say, loll

If you have 3" collector run about 20" of 3" pipe, roughly the bend plus a foot before reducing it down to 2 1/2". Put in a 2 1/2" x-pipe run to the back and put on 2 6" round Magnaflows. The shorties and this set-up put down 17 rwhp and 17 lbft torque on the dyno on my car. Use mandral bends if possible. Along with all the other bolt-on's available you should have no problems with low 12 high 11 slips with just bolt-ons. Whats it weigh, like 2700# ?

headers, custom built wiring harness, computer flash, 89 vette radiator, dual 11 inch puller fans, tranny xmember needed to be mod'ed and moved back. The front frame needed to be notched for the a/c compressor, driveshaft needed to be shorrtend like 2 inches. ECT. If you want i can get you the link to the build so you all can see the work it was.

Did you get a dyno sheet with that hp/tq increase bc that would be so bad *** to get.
And yes, i am getting it manderal bent.
And man u are generous to say low 12s, high 11s....i dunno man the truck does wiegh about 2800-3200 depending on each truck, never wieghed my truck but thats the norm. I do know that the truck wieghs a few hundred lbs less than the camaros, so whatever you ugys weight, a few lbs less.
And as for the power, its a 275hp stock motor. Than with the ported intake, the k&n airfilter, shorty headers, msd wires, and true dual manderal bent exhaust, you would say i should geta extra __HP?

[QUOTE=llorracs93s10;10573565]so you say off my 3 inch collectors, which i do have, do 3 inch piping for 20 inches approx. , than reduce it down to 2.5 with a xpipe, and than do 2 6inch long tips?

6" round universal mufflers by Magnaflow. With the mods in my sig I have run 12.86 et and my car weighs 3900#. At 2800# it would be like 11.8x

What woudl you all say is the best DR's to get for the money? And the widest i can go with the iroc 16x8 wheels? I dont want to go too tall, i would like to keep it below 26.5 or below in diameter. I have 255.50.16 on mine now, so i was gonna just do the same size unless i can get a wider tire for around the same diameter.
