Well she put down 353 rwhp/351 torque. This is the_Merv's old motor. Hotcam, 1.6 SA Promags, dual crane springs, pacesetters, dual bullets with a h pipe, K&N CAI, 58mm TB, I think he port matched the heads/intake and milled the heads down, 11:1 compression. I'm happy, I just swapped out my wounded 10 bolt with 4.10s to sadly another 10 bolt, this one with 3.42s. I'm happy with the 3.42's though, now its not like I'm driving on ice. The car just pulls and pulls, I'm surprised how 50 more rwhp feels, my stocker with bolt ons/exhaust had dyno'd at 302 rwhp/321 torque.
Video of me on the dyno. Sorry I don't have good camera skills, I didn't get a good shot of the screen on the computer either. I'll post up the print out when I get it.

Nice..
It got me 335/335 through the Auto, Stock Stall.
Yea, the Heads/Intake are Port-Matched, and the Heads Milled. It's a Balanced Assembly, with Forged Rods & Pistons.
That is part of the reason I stepped my Gears up to 3.50's in my Car, so it would pull more instead of roast the tires off..lol

Hey Merv, i got a question, did you have a machine shop port match the intake and heads? is that all that is done to the heads? any valve work?
BTW- Awesome numbers i'm hoping to be able to put down about that through my auto when i got my hot cam in. Glad to see some other people with them.

Awesome numbers, I bet that thing pulls like a bastard now! That's gotta be a fun *** car now!
The difference from 335 in the car with the auto to the 353 in this 6 speed car shows why alot of stock autos make so much less than the stock 6 speed cars.

Those are nice numbers for the hotcam, i bet it it pulls good with the 3.42s, thats kindof the road i'm taken with mine, but with one of Lloyd Elliott's cams & 3.42s.
So how well does it pull??

Thanks guys, I just hate all the hotcam naysayers. I put down numbers that make me happy, the car is a blast to drive and doesn't give me a lick of trouble.
I'm glad the_Merv is meticulous with car related items, if things go well I should be spraying this motor with a 150 shot within the year, I just need to get the NANO, A/F shutoff switch, wideband and bottle opener. I could install my plate kit and FJO now, but I don't feel like taking the interior apart twice!
It pulls all sorts of ridiculous. They had printer issues last night so once I get a good printout I'll post it up, torque curve is basically a flat line. Whats neat is the dynotune only picked me up 5 more hp, but the way the car pulls now is amazing. The mail order tune I had was really on the safe side, the guy that tuned the car stated there was hardly any timing in the mail order tune, on the baseline the A/F reading was around 11.4:1 at WOT, way rich!

No Valve Work, just milled down. I Port-Matched them myself with a Bench Dremel and a Burr, matched them to the Intake Gaskets I was using. I lined the Gaskets up on the Bolt Holes, and marked the excess, then ported them out smoothly and squared them off so there is no overlap and each one is done very well.

I hear ya..a lot of guys bash the Hotcam when it's been a well proven reliable cam. Glad it turned out nice for you

Thanks Merv, I'm really thinking about doing that on my heads, would you say it was a preety easy job? All my stuff is torn apart to fix my head gasket and i'm puttin in a hot cam kit and anything else i can afford to do. Hoping for about 350+ through a 3200vig in my 4l60e...

It's not that bad..just takes time.
Yea, that Engine was nice for me Corey, very little trouble. My new 402 has had issues since I have gotten it in, the biggest one being it running really rich. I think it is from a bad O2 Sensor that I have had the whole time, and for some reason when we scanned it the first time it never showed that.
Right after the Auto blew a fried of mine put a Scanner on it at the Shop to see the Codes, and it showed the right side O2 out, from the way the Car was running, I could see it had been out for a while. I also had a major PCV problem and ended up having to re-design how I had the PCV System on it. When I put that on it, it ran better immediatly, so hopefully I can straighten out the Fuel problem as easily.
When I get back I'm puttin brand new O2's in it, it's getting a Tune adjustment, and I'm taking it out and warming it up to seat the Rings in finally.

Good luck Merv, I hope you get that thing running sweet, ought to be a beast with the T56. I seem to have resolved my valvetrain issues I was having, wish I had a good graph to post, you can see where the hotcam looses control of the valves past 6k. Tuner played with the timing on the top end, didn't affect the dip at all, so I def. had no need to spin it to 6.5k like I had a month ago, which caused all my chaos.
When you getting back? I can't keep track of time anymore.

It's cool man..
It should be a beast, and the problem is it's running like ****, even with it as fast as it is, so hopefully it will stop being a bitch when I get back and give it some good new parts..
I'll be back in the beginning of Feb, and trust me it's slowly dragging there..
