Default Epic Looking True Duals

Well I have been wanting to trash my homebrew y-pipe for a while now, and I have been wanting to replace it with a quality true duals system

I am running FLP long tubes into some catco cats.

So what I was thinking is getting a 3" or 2.5" True Dual system running all the way back out the original exits, and I am think maybe some Borla mufflers or some Super40 Flows

So I googled Trans Am True Duals, and this came up

I nearly crapped my pants

I know the car in the pics is a LS1, but I want that exhaust in my car.

Yep, Kooks did that installation. I've been trying to find the links to it...

With headers, it was over three grand. They won't ship the system as it's welded as it's installed. You'll have to give them your car to get it done.

One Fine Day, they'll be doing mine...

Looks great! Def one of the better looking setups but for that kind of money I'd rather dump the exh before axle and use the rest of the money for other go-fast parts. But that's just me.

yes its a very nice set up but you can have a system fabbed up just like that for a quarter of the price just take the pictures to a exhaust shop they should be able to do a 2.5" system just like that
i will post pictures this weekend of my true dual set up it resembles that set up

Oh yeah, these pics are for a full dual 3 inch system. Kooks 2.5 inch system installed would be less bucks. Again, only for installation in their shop.

Yea I love the way this system looks

What I really like is how it goes through the underbody.

I want a TD system to go under the body like this one.

I really dont like how it has the mufflers and then an extra set of bullets upstream or the dual outlet tips.

But other than that HOLY CRAP.

I was thinking to route my system exactly the same, and have some hi flo cats up front, and a pair of borlas or flowmaster 40s outback and some stainless slant cut tips

Wow that is totally BA!!!! I'd be interested to hear what that sounds like if you removed the rear mufflers esp and just ran tips out the back, its a real shame we can't find an exhaust shop that wants to make up the front sections of this setup with a X pipe and maybe some extra length to the 45 deg sections that attach to the headers so it could be installed with some minimal cutting on a variety of LT headers and then just leave the rear section dumped over the axle for the end user to decide if they want extra mufflers, tips or nothin.... You'd think that to make this outa 2.5" aluminized steel pipe wouldn't be that big of a cost, I'd think a quality x pipe probably would be half of that, the rest is just layin it out and makin a template, the computerized exhaust companies like Flowmaster are really missin out on something here... maybe someone should try to contact them...

only thing is this thing is entirely welded up...to do anything w/ the exhaust or anything which the ehxaust is in the way of you will have to drop the rear of the car
