vbulletin error 1142, is what keeps coming up. This is an sql issue. I checked the master username and password. Everything checks out. I'm going to have to dig deeper tomorrow, I'm ******* tired. I've been at it all day.

Sorry guys.

I'm going to ******* kill every person who works for 1and1 hosting..... I swear it. I know what the problem is, but they are to incompetent to fix it... I literally sifted through ****, figured it out, but they are the only ones who can fix it...

I love it. I'm sorry guys, this is classic. The reason our site crashed is because we exceeded their storage space... LOL!!!! We were only allowed to use 100 mega bytes. AHAHAHAHAHA

I'm ******* racking my brain, and that's what it was. I'm gonna bump us up tomorrow to a dedicated server or some ****. I'm so pissed and tired right now. I've been up all day and all night, and it's a ******* storage issue.

I'm gonna go comatose now...

Have fun getting away from 1and1.com. To cancel their service you have to fax them some signed slip. They'll lose it when you fax it to them and then they will continue billing you even though you canceled their service. Then, after a few years they'll send you a letter from a law office notifying you that it's going to collections. Thankfully, I had documented my final payment, the fax that I sent them to terminate the account, and a copy of the transmission confirmation. Sent a letter to their lawyer chewing them out and had copies of everything and not only did they drop their case but they didn't even have the decency to reply to my letter to let me know. They just never contacted me again.

How much bandwidth do you use? Are you using a managed service or self-managed? If you're doing self-managed with CPanel or such and you're not bringing in too much bandwidth then HostGator.com is a great hosting company to go with. Their shared servers are $7.99 a month and go up from there. I was on their $14/mo plan until our site's bandwidth went through the roof (5mill hits and 50gb per month) and then they deemed my site was using too many resources. Been using dedicated servers ever since and, although 10x more expensive than $14 per month, it's a lot more reliable, faster, and it's nice to know that you're the ONLY one on the box.

Also, if you want a great service to help with your server and if you're on a linux box, PlatinumServerManagement is a GREAT deal at $39 per month or something like that and they do whatever you want basically. Unlimited tickets, just send them a ticket asking them to do something and they do it.

How's that possible? The package I set us up under was for WAY more space than that.

They will heed me. It's very easy to put a stop payment for breach of contract on the card I have it on.
