Come on baby!!! I need my LTXTech fix. Hopefully soon!

Thanks for working to get it back up, I'm sure there are many other things you would rather be doing on New Years Eve.

You guys are awesome for being so dedicated to the site. That's why lt1tech went under. Nobody gave a **** about it. Doesn't look like that's going to happen to this one!

I'd offer to help, but when it comes to that kind of stuff, I'm about as useful as a one-armed baboon.

Fastbird, to answer your question about space: We have like 120 gb of free storage on the basic server, but our sql database is only allowed 100 mb. We went over that by 67. That is the problem. Ugh.

That's what I figured. I actually saw that the other night while I was getting you all the host info and didn't think to question it.

Yeah, I found the docmentation on 1and1's website that says basically all of 1and1's database limitations are set to 100mb. If Sean can't get the database size increased by 1and1 (which, unfortunately, seems like it might be difficult to do since that's the standard size across the board it looks like), then LTx is going to have to move to another server. I likewise told Sean that if he needs any help getting onto a new server that I'd be more than willing to help transfer the database.

Hell, if LTx doesn't use that many resources I'd even be willing to offer a slice from my dedicated server that I lease for a cheap price. Not sure how well it'd handle both of them, though.

Yeah, no joke. My site is not large by any means (1600 members, 350,000 posts) and my site's "post" table - just one of 302 tables, admittedly one of the largest tables in the database - is around 125mb alone. If they have attachments being saved to the database instead of the file system, it'll bloat even faster.

They aren't for sure moving yet - all depends on what 1and1 can do (if anything) on the storage for the database. Regardless, though, it's very easy to move a database - especially one that's only a few hundred mb So no, everything will work 100%. I've done change overs from one server to another that was pretty much seamless and the only way to tell that you're on the new one and not the old one is to put an announcement or notice at the top saying that it's the new server otherwise everything is 100% the same.
