one thing i did notice is there must be something out of balence with my drivetrain as it shakes with no load on it..

That's quite the shake. I'm guessing you either live in Canada or have a Canadian version with the KM / HR speedo.

Before you put the car on jackstands or before you converted to the new computer?

That might have just been some sort of weird angle with the DS or other suspension component. Take it for a little roll around the block and see how it does.

yes it had a bit of a shake on the highway, i think it being on jack stands with no load makes it worse.

we got 4" of snow today.. my car will be in the garage for a couple months still.

i will take the tires off and see if it gets better.. it has been stitting for months on the rear tires and might have a flat spot.

so... other than the shaking (due to drive line components) everything is in good order?

I agree. LT1's are seeing some new light recently, new SS headers available, new promising intake in development, new web forum solely for LTx platform, and then there's this tuning hurdle which someone is finally addressing.

I'm very interested, but weather and money at this exact time are not working for me.

if this shows to have no issues I will be purchasing one at some point as I know many others will too

I am very interested, and am just waiting for some real documented results.

I can promise you that I will be getting that system if it works out as planned and it is out of the testing phase...I was preparing myself mentally to have to drop the ~1.5K on an aftermarket computer system and this swap will be a great deal for me and my 93.

I want the system badly, but just do not want to be the guinea pig .

it would be nice to see a back to back dyno before and after. but the seat of the pants driveability is the real key imho.

Any dyno differences will be negligible...I could care less about them TBH.

The point of the mod is the ease of tuning, more people available to tune the system, extra rpm capability, and ditching the opti.

Main reasons i see it being a worth while swap is
1.)8000 rpm limiter vs stock 7000
2.) 3 bar map capable
3.) coil near plug ignition system
4.) short plug wires
5.) not having to worry about water near my engine, vent lines to opti.
6.) cheaper then a fast XFI
