Curious about selling my 93 red Z28 Lt1 M6 hard top but am not sure about what is a decent price. I would like to get $4500 but what do you guys think?
Has 148K on the clock but is not calibrated for the gears so it will be less actual miles!
Body is is fair to good condition, no major dents or dings. Paint is good for a daily driver but wouldn't hurt to have a new one. To my knowledge and inspection it has not been wrecked and all panels show no signs of repair or modification.
Motor was just rebuilt by myself less than 500 mi. ago due to a spun bearing on #7 when I bought it. Block has been heavily cleaned, honed, and all specifications checked and passed. New OE crank, 1 rod, all new cam bearings, crank/main bearings, all new gaskets and seals, new LT4 hot cam KIT(rockers, springs, retainers, locks), thermostat, timing chain and crank sprocket, OE lifters, High Vol. oil pump with new pick up tube, ALL new fluids from brake fluid, P/s fluid, trans, diff, engine.
Other mods are EB TB, Shorty headers wrapped(not sure on brand)MSD wires, aftermarket aluminum balancer adapter, Moroso cold air kit w/filter, BMR subframe connectors, BMR STB, 4.10's, front drilled and slotted rotors, 17"F 18"R gunmetal Z06 wheels with minor srcapes est 500 - 600 mi. with Firehawk Wide Oval 285 45 017 and 295 35 18, eibach sportline springs F&R, Jensen in dash 7" flip out screen/dvd player, Autometer shift light, very clean interior charcoal grey and light grey with dyed black carpet to match OE black dash Borla catback with quad tips, 3" piping from headers back with no cat.
Only other thing that needs to be replaced is the A/c compressor. A/c blows ice cold when charged but compressor is leaking. Of course system is R-134A.
Let me get your opinions on what a good selling price is and I appreciate and info that is given!

Hopefully it's got a tune, but I think you should easily be able to get that for it. I paid $3800 for mine with only exhaust and a eBay CAI on it. Found out it has a rebuilt motor, but when and what all was done is beyond me. Point is, your asking price is pretty much perfect and I wouldn't accept any less then that. Gas prices being so low should help a lot too.
Good luck!

I paid $3,300 for mine about 6 months ago. It was pretty hard to find a decent M6 around here and at that time I really liked the LS1 front end - my 93 had it on their when I bought it.
It had 130,000 miles and was rebuilt not to long ago (according to the owner). It also had a salvage title though.
So take that for what it's worth, but I don't think you'll get $4,500. These things have lost ALOT of value lately.

Its going to be hard to get 4500.00, especially being a 93, i doubt i would get that for mine, & its a 97 with a brand-new clutch, 9" with 4.11s, but i did find a local guy that wants it, he restores old 50s mopars & has alot of cash, i'm sure he will give me the 5500.00 i would take, just if your lucky, you may find the right person, but as ALWAYS, when your selling a car, you never get what you want, its when you don't want to sell that someone will offer you more then you'll get if you are selling it (if that makes sense lol), so my advice, sit on it untill someone wants it (aproaches you), then shoot for your price, i'm sure you'll get close. Because when someone knows you have something 4-sale, there at your mercy, they will try & bargin with your asking price, but if they aproach you & ask if you'll sell it, your at there mercy & are willing to sometimes offer you about or maybe more then you really wanted. Maybe i have that Mercy thing backwards, but you get the drift. Putting it another way, when & if someone wants something you have, but there not sure you'll sell it, they will most likely pay you more then if it was 4-sale.

its all about how much they go for in your area. here a 98 ws6 sells on a dealer lot for 14k with 100,000 miles no problem. thing is, around here they are pretty rare. I paid 5400 for my 93 almost 2 years ago with really high miles and they where gonna sell it for 8k. there is a 96 camaro for sale at a lot for 8k on sale right now too...location

I have a full heads and cam 93 with 100k miles..
Before the oil pump went out and it ran perfect i had 4500 on it and never got a damn bite.
I feel like that was a great price but obviously the rest of the world thought different.

A lot of things are unique to the 1993, so some people avoid them. Plus, they are the oldest 4th gen.
If the OP drops his price about $1500, he could probably sell it more quickly (you can't compete when LS1s are selling for around the same price). Unless a car is immaculate and something special, most mods are just money down the drain for resale. That's just the way it is and always has been.

i payed $3K for the Camaro In my sig! they wanted $5,500 but i talked him down.
I would say stick with your price unless you are hurting for money because someone will eventually buy it!
I would put OR BEST OFFER and see what kinda offers you get!
