Thats also why it take so long to do a change if they where made in the us carl could just make a fixture change and be done with it.

I know it pisses you off that you are losing and gonna lose more sales to LPP.
But what proof do you have of any of the accusations you are making???
If you are making up **** thats called slander and Carl should sue you guys.

Also there must no chinese made machines here in the US to bend pipes huh??? Not to mention that they are fixing the design from the first batch.

Also I have read many posts about your stepped headers having almost if not all the same fittment issues.
I promise you this GeorgeR@Kooks id rather buy straight from china than give you the buisness after reading some of stuff you post without any facts.
Even if I do think you have an amazing product. Comming on the net and making bold statements like you are, is about the lamest thing a company of your size could do. BTW I beleive the headers are made in Georgia.

"Perhaps if you had yours priced reasonably copies wouldn't be an issue cause people would just buy yours set at a reasonable price."

My blood pressure went up 100 points after reading that. I will say no more.

If i had the extra cash to spare, I'd buy KOOKS no doubt. I currently have some hookers which are great. But, seeing the quality and results of LPPs, I'm going to have to buy me a set of the new revised ones

They are American and Made in Georgia! As Carl said in his thread we looked at ALL The LT1 header and used the best designs of all them then also changed some things and used a higher qaulity ss.
Ive heard since the LPPs came out Kooks now offers or is going to offer the same collector as the LPPs. So whos copying who?
I dont really care, as Im extremely happy with my Made in the USA LPPs untill someone proves they arent made here.

As far as our accusations lets break it down in price structure alone. Based on unbaised pricing.

321 Stainless Steel 1 3/4 18 gauge cost 43.15 a foot
321 Stainless Steel 1 7/8 18 gauge cost 29.47 a foot
http://www.burnsstainless.com/321tub...raight321.html
It takes roughly 26 feet of material. So lets try breaking this down, more specificly.
Roughly 10ft of 1 3/4 at 43.15 a foot= 431.50 for the 1 3/4 material.
Roughly 16ft of 1 7/8 at 29.47 a foot= 471.52 for the 1 7/8 material.
Thats 903.02 in raw material alone unpolished by the way. Now I know one of you guys will say that is retail so if we deduct 40% from cost to retail that is 541.00.unpolished

Now onto the polishing call any polisher out there for a set of headers it will range from 275.00 to 450.00. now lets take 50% from an averege of 325.00. That would be 162.50 a set.
Bring the total so far up to 703.50.

Now collectors lets say cost 85.00 a set.

Stainless flanges cost 70.00 a set.
Now we are up to 858.50.

So there is a rough parts list for the raw material.

That does not include labor or cost of production. That is just raw material alone.
So even if I am 20% off raw material is going to cost from any US source 686.40 And again that is not including cost of production.

And also there a ton of pics on the web of overseas header manufactures if you look at them you will see they are the same. As for as weld color and flanges everthing.

Now as for the business side of it we have not skiped a beat. Most of our clients relize you get what you pay for.So that is not the issue the issue is we Have been in business for over 45 years and thats not combined. We spend a lot of money to R&D a set of headers and a lot of knowledge goes into each product we design so to have one openly say they looked at all the design and chose the best one. I guess thanks. We are family owned and operated and have been that way since day 1. We believe in keeping American made performance parts on the American made muscle cars made by American tax paying citizens. Thanks

If you want to talk to us all you have to do is call. And we the manufacture will answer the phone, not some middle man with an import liscense who has no header designing experience. They also copied stainless works mustang header. Its people like this that ruin the industry for the American working people.

Wow I hope you guys have the evidence to prove these allegations. You definitely have ***** posting this stuff on a public forum without posting said proof.

Kooks does have a great product, but I cant justify their $1500 or so price when the LPP's cost me $650 to the door. The LPP's are great and will be even better once the bugs are worked out. They are not chinese junk in the sense that most think and it has been my understanding that they are made in the USA.

Do you know without a doubt that they are made in Georgia, or elsewhere in the United States? I mean, have you actually seen someone in Georgia, or elsewhere in the United States, manufacturing these headers? Or are just stating what you believe, or repeating what you've been told, which without proper verification could also be known as an opinion?
