Doesn't Jet Hot also manufacture, or sell, the header itself, with or without the coating? My Kooks were coated by Jet Hot, so I'm somewhat familiar with that aspect of their company.

yup..i cant wait till i finish them up this weekend..ever since i bought them Jet Hot did not send me the bolts or gaskets, and when the gaskets arrived last week they sent me LS1 gaskets.. so i just went off to GM and bought some copper gaskets and drilled in the new holes and about to bolt them on this weekend

Probably one of the most expensive mild steel headers (with exceptions towards like AS&M).. Jethot's coating makes it all worth while. It will last a long time and they look amazing. If I desperately need headers before the new LPP's come out, I'm getting some Jet Hots

Had Mac Mids ... they sucked for performance.
Installed JetHot (Hooker) LTs, love them. Except that the coasting flakes off at the bottom allowing rust.

I'm looking at a nice set of Kooks once the new motor is broken in.
I'm also keeping an eye on LPP to see how they perform and hold up over time.

I love my Kooks stepped headers. I had some Jet-hot Lt's and I really like them (coating flaked after about 4.5 years) These of course are stainless and fit amazing, no issues at all. I will never have to buy another LTX header again.

Oh they don't suck performance wise James I had them and pulled out almost another 25rwh with them. Now VS LT's I can see how they might suck

Heh, all a matter of perspective I guess.
I put them on when I had a bolt-on car and didn't see a whole lot of gain.
I did not dyno afterwords, so all I have is personal opinion to share.
I removed them after I did H/C while trying to figure out why it was such a slug up top.
The LTs REALLY woke the car up.

So, looking back at them from here ... the mids sucked.
Looking forward from stock .... meh .... take my opion with an appropriate amount of salt.

i like my mac mid's there a very good quality piece and so far no rust at all. the fitment was good and the low end is alot ballsier. sure the top end wont be anywhere near what LT's can do for the engine but its still an increase non the less
