what header gaskets are you guys running with your long tubes? I got the GM gaskets but the leak like crazy. I was thinking going to Autozone getting some MR. Gaskets.

They should be exactly the same. The only issue might be that the LT1 stock manifolds use the outside bolt hole (there is an inner one and an outter bolt hole on both ends of each cylinder head), while most LT's use the inner bolt hole. That is why you will see alot of aftermarket header gaskets having hooks on the end (for easy slip in) that will hook on either the inside or the outside bolt hole.

I am using the Mr. Gasket Ultra Seal steel impregnated jobbies and they seem to work pretty good, no problems yet and I have gone through copper gaskets(junk), fel-pros(junk-for headers anyway), and don't even get me started on the pacesetters OR the BBK ones that they provide...JUNK

Im not even running gaskets. The best thing you can put on them is some permatex red RTV. Ive had it on mine for 2 years and hasnt leaked yet. And you dont have to worry about bolts backing out with RTV. And im sure somebody up here is going to say that im a retard for not running gaskets, and telling you that its the best thing to run. But i promise you it will last alot longer, and seal alot better than any gasket out there.
