i have i friend with an a4 full bolt-ons, stock heads, and mid legnth headers. Mail order tune, and a comp extreme energy 218/224 .525/.525 112 lsa and made 331 to the ground.

JB_97ws6TA Did you get a dyno run before the cam? They dont dyno very high in stock form. I remember when i had my car on the dyno a while back, with 4l60e w/3000stall, CAI, Mid tube headers, TB airfoil, cut-out, untuned, and dont remember if i had a 3.23 or 3.73, but it only dyno'd 265! I was still runnin 12.80-90's though. So like they said dyno numbers dont prove as much as you might think.

I don't get the 103-4 traps with only 265whp. Stalls must really lower dynos. Cause I dynod 231 stock and not even hitting 103mph myself I have a hard time believing I only gained 30hp... considering I've gone up 7-8 mph in my traps.

Anyway, where's this dude with his results!?

hey sorry for the silence I went to fresno performance and the guy is also going to tune it for me because the mail order tune isn't quite right. As I was running through what I had done to the car he told me to get my cats hooked up and put larger injectors in it before the tune so....I ordered them today hopefully I can get it done this weekend so I guess to be continued, and no I haven't burned it down yet, the guy told me that stock lt1's only dyno at 240ish on that dyno so my numbers are going to suck either way. It was funny though he said the same thing a lot of you guys did, you don't race dynos and he also said that his el camino only dynos @ 420 on that dyno yet it goes low 10s consistently...something doesn't sound right but the guy knows what he is talking about to an extent. I only say to an extent because he also owns a mustang!

I'm wondering how you only dyno'd 265 and trapped 104.

In comparison, I dyno'd 231 stock and trapped 95, now I trap 102.6, so that equals less than 260whp if I go off you. That means only a 30hp gain, yet I still went up 7-8 mph, which doesn't equal out to me.

Alot of stock auto LT1's dyno right in that range. The two that I dynoed made 230 rwhp and 232 rwhp on different dynojets. Some make more, but alot are right there, so I wouldn't say his dyno reads low.
