those numbers i quoted were from a guy above, i've never dyno'd my car sorry for the confusion haha.

i was just saying he had a damn good time for that low of a dyno number.

I find that a little odd. Is your fuel pump ok? Have him put a gauge on it when he dyno tunes it.

I found the problem. When I quoted you the first time I meant to quote him above you, then I stopped paying attention.

I know who you are, too. I need to stop coming on here on my phone. I blame it.

Those fuel injectors are fine your fuel pump is the most likely problem those 24's max out at around 400 rwhp.

I am waiting for injectors..the guy running the dyno looked the car over before we were going to throw it on the dyno and I knew it wasn't running right but he told me that my tune wasn't right but he wanted me to get larger injectors before he tuned it so I am waiting again. He also wanted me to get my cats in it because I was planning on running them so he wanted to tune it with them installed.

It is a good idea to get the cats on there before final tuning if you planned on running them anyway. The injectors still sound fishy to me.

me too...people are running 500 horse with 30# injectors I don't think I needed anything that big on a 300 horse motor but he saidi it gave him some more wiggle room in the tuning so I will go with that, I found the injectors on ebay for 140 bucks with flow sheets so it wasn't too expensive.

Ya but its a band aid fix because the fuel pump is going out. All the injector in the world isn't going to flow enough fuel when the fuel pump isn't supplying them with enough fuel in the first place. You might get away with it now but its only going to get worse and worse with age. A walbro 255 can be purchased for $100. Why don't you ask him to hook a fuel pressure gauge up to the car while he is making a dyno pull. Watch the pressure as he makes the pull, i bet that pressure starts to drop as the rpms get higher and higher. GL

The car only has 44,000 miles on it I wouldn't think it was a fuel pump issue but I will have him put a gauge on it when we run it up.

Isn't that what I said? Mileage has nothing to do with the hit or miss factory fuel pump.

I am already on my second tuner in 2 weeks, madz tune was way off!! This guy has a really nice shop filled with 9 and 10 second cars as well as a lot of happy customers in this area so I am inclined to listen to him, he knows that 30# injectors are not going to be running at 100% duty cycle or even close but he did not want to run into a situation where the injectors are the limiting factor in the tuning and he also wanted me to get something that I could grow into with future mods but we will find out just how good this guy is when the injectors and cats come in.
