Going by your "sig" it looks as if you don't have any suspension work done. If so, I would invest in some Strano/Eibach springs, shocks, Control arms, Panhard bar, torque arm and maybe some sway bars before I would be putting on the SFC.

SFC would help if you were doing more of track racing..biggest thing I would suggest would be the springs, shocks (Bilsteins) and control arms. Then follow it up with the Panhard Bar and Torque Arm.

I wouldn't put SFC on the back burner, even stock hard launches were putting a lot of stress on the pillars with a t-top so that was the first thing I did with suspension.

Lol..I figured as much. Well if you do more of that you might want to look into a nice set of sway bars along with the springs/shocks.

I have the 3pt umi's and I love them. I think differently, I think that subframe connectors should be one of the first things done, I noticed a huge difference in how the car felt after the connectors were on, mainly through turns, you'll think, wow, I never knew the car flexed that much. And I do believe that they helped out my 60' some, I say if you can afford to get the umi 3pts, then do it, if not, then maybe the double diamonds.

The SFC would be good if he does more track racing then 1/4 mile. For better traction though he really needs to get some springs/shocks/control arms first.

Springs don't help your 1/4 mile one bit. If anything it hurts your times by making it harder for the car to squat down during launch. Shocks are always a good upgrade on these cars as the factory ones suck. As for control arms there is debate on if they help or not. Some people will leave the stock arms in there but put the Moog bushings in if they do not have wheel hop. You can look at my sig and see that I did the things you all are discussing. And lastly as for SFC I think the sooner you throw them on the better. Our cars are unibody adn will flex especially during 1/4 mile or track racing. The sooner you put those on the less it will flex.

Thumbs up Food for Thought!

Hello,

I would recommend working on the suspension first, to get the tires to the ground! and then when you have the figured out! Then pick out the SFC's that's best for your combination.

Thanks Brad
