In your first post you said something about having to pedal it because it was breaking up on the top end. If you haven't solved that problem, it would be my starting point.

Look into some drag brakes. They will reduce unsprung weight and should help the car roll easier as well.

Allright, well today i went ahead and got a whole new set of tires for the camaro. I got the 26x4.5x15 M/T E.T. Fronts 12lbs (probably about 8lbs less per tire and also have alot less rolling resistance), some 28x11.5x15 M/T E.T. Streets (im keeping the M/T DR's for trying to set the record, just swap em back when the time comes) and I also bought a BBK 52mm Throttle Body today!

My lawyer got most of the ticket taken care of and all i have to do now is pay the court $200(told me he could get it to $100 owell).

So now I need to buy a new panhard bar(stock one is bent bad) then the next thing im gonna do is look into getting a set of drag brakes for the front. I think they are suppose to be like 25lbs lighter per side and should fix the problem that im getting from the brakes draggin. Then gonna get a set of QA1's with there drag spring. But what can i do to keep the front end from liftin up? Will the QA1's fix that? Im pretty sure ill be able to hook even if it didnt lift but a 2inches or so... Maybe with the front sittin lower with the QA1's it wont lift as much and can set them to have a super slow release???

So hopefully with those few things listed ill be consistantly 11.90's even with the 28" e.t. streets.

I will read the rest of the stuff in here but we spun the stock motor.
shifted at 6k, flat footed, and top end was getting into the 6300+ range with an M6/4.33s/26" tires.
we had LT4 VS.
you dont need taller tires, you need to get the rev limiter out of the way.

Well theres only so much that can be done bolt on performance wise. So at what point do you say when to stop doing things to make it faster and keep it a street car??? Ya i do drive it on the street every now and then, but why when i have a truck that gets the job done more for what i need anyways? Im not worried if someone doesnt respect my car because they just lost to a stock lt1 engine! So what my car is gutted, go up against a guy thats puttin down 350 to the wheels while im puttin a measly 265 and still show him how its done!

Well thank you very much! So dang close to gettin the wheels up! argh! lol Hopefully the new skinnies will help me out! Oh also on a side note, i was happy that this thing wasnt a street car anymore when i did all this crap to it! Tickets are outragesouly expensive when you get em as often as i did, now not a single one with the truck! lol

You think it's that easy to strip an f-bod? Anyone can get one down to around 3200 (with driver). The "average" f-bod owner could strip everything out of an f-bod, toss on all of the bolt-ons they see in the catalogs and go out and rip a 12.40, and scratch their head wondering why. Their is a lot of skill and fabrication needed to get that extra second to get that record. The current record stands at 11.48.

What does your car run?

I have lots of respect for ANY bolt-on car that is in the 11's. I don't care if it sees a lot of street action. I won't give it any more respect if you drive it to church on Sunday and do your grocery shopping with it either. All I care about is the numbers.

It is alot of fun to run a bolt on car, it out runs some H/C cars that make more power, LOL.

It's an option. Try it and you might like it.

I have respect from either way

To each is ones own

You want a daily driver street car.. some of us have daily drivers already, so we gut out our babies to make it run quicker. Imagine if he added heads and cam and that same 150shot to his now light as hell car! that'd be a fast ****! (well faster than it already is)

Awesome! Lovin all the back-up! lol

Another update : Got a BMR Adjustable Panhard Bar
Now savin up a little more and ill be getting the brake booster delete kit and going to be installing a line lock and deleting the ABS while im at it! 40lbs or so off?

Also i think i may have someone sellin a stock 10bolt w/ a 4.10 rear end i might pick up. I think he wants like $150 for it. So when the time comes to try and set the record ill swap that rear end back in and save a 120 lbs!
