The only problem with those PCM's is that they do not have any kind of file in them,or at least they didnt use to, All you had to do is take it to the dealer and have them flash a stock tune into it but here it cost $100.00 I tried to upload a file with tuner cats and LT1 Edit and it would not take it until I got it flashed at the dealer....
hmmmm... that seems odd, i guess we'll find out in a few hours, i freakin hope this works

SHE LIVES!!!!! picked up the computer from Checker today, $109 + 120 refundable core charge. Droped in easily, took my current tunercats tune with no issues at all and fired up like a charm. Although i had my wife go disconect the battery last night (i was still a little messed up from surgery) and it appears that the threads got stripped on the pos side of the battery so looks like i have to get a new battery now, grrrrrr!!! but the important part is the car lives, and it was a re-man Delco computer

What is a 'Checkers', is that like an Autozone equivalent? If its a scrap yard PCM maybe thats it Moe...Im not familiar with what kind of business Checkers is.
When I needed one I bought one off of ebay for $65 to the door, had to have Moe here tune it for my setup...still running like a champ. Now that ya'll mention it I prolly need to look for a backup!

Depending on what state you are in Checker is also called Shucks or Kragen, and they have just been purchaced by O'Rileys. Great shop, like an autozone but better, i have purchaced damn near every nut, bolt, wire, everything for my 72 camaro (except the m22) from Checkers. I dont know why Moe had troubles with the others all i know is this one worked perfectly and was a good price. Nice find on the ebay for $65, i only saw 2 and they were $139 plus shipping
