i just went with LE's 223/230 cam. i want a strong low and mid range and wanted to keep the red line low (its around stock) but im coming up from stock.

I hear ya. I wanted to keep mine streetable as well. That will be a strong responsive cam for you. When you putting it in?

when, idk when i have time. which hasnt been to often lately :\ im also lightly porting an intake. and ill be taking .030's off the heads. should be fun when its done

It might change if you had hardened pushrods and NSA rockers, but when I had my hotcammed car dynotuned you could see right at 6k where there is a dip, wasn't caused by timing or the like but the valvetrain wasn't happy. This was with non hardened pushrods, SA promags and dual Crane springs. That cam peaks around 5800, no point in spinning it really high.

Sounds like the 227 peaks right around there also or a little lower?
