I have one of these, I believe they are under $200. I like it, had it for 3 years and no probs.

id stick with the stock unit bored. flows plenty well unless you'll be going the forced induction route. also has the a better design in the rear unlike all the after market pieces that let air into the plenum after it goes through the IAC. if you notice after market TBs don't have the bleed hole like the stock unit and don't seperate the IAC from the plenum. may lead to some issues later down the road. i had to do some modifications to my BBK unit like sealing off the IAC passage and drilling a bleed hole.

I think the coolant passages are different or something like that.

92&93's will not work on any other year of LT1s other than 92&93's. The throttle likage is different and the throttle blades sit at a different angle than the 94-96 units.
That price isn't too bad, I ported stockers to 52mm for about 4 years. I still got about 60 stock units that I plan on porting some day.
Some ported units are better than others, make sure they install a bearing/bushing of some sort at the throttle shaft ends. Most stockers are worn .008-.010. You will have a better unit if there are bearings/bushings installed. The OEM unit has no bearing/bushing at all, its the steel shaft in the aluminum housing that wears.

for the price they are not worth it, for around 175 you can get a proffesional products one and they have a machined air foil, which actually works unlike the ones you buy which are ok, but don't do nearly as much as a foil that is machined it, just buy a proffesional product one and be done!
