I was gonna say the same thing. 2 tenths and 2 mph.

What exactly did you change? If it was simply a cam swap i'd say that was a decent improvement, but you did heads/cam and only gained that, i'd say yikes.

He used to have another vendors heads/cam/ported intake and swapped to the AI heads and cam with unported intake. Given that, this is a substantial gain.

Congrats on the new best. I'm happy your results were exactly what you wanted. You've had a long hard road with the car, but the results look worth it.

I think with simple changes you have .5 and another couple mph left. Weight reduction, EWP and some tire. 120mph to start is astounding.

2 tenths and 2 mph is a nice gain, not substantial though. Not sure if it's cost effective though for $2000. He has some ET left in it for sure, but he did before trapping 118 also. If he's happy then I guess that's all that matters.

What tires are you running?

It wasn't anywhere near $2000 after I sold my old stuff. And I didn't have a choice on swapping out the h/c package, but that's a completely different story.

.2 and 2 mph was defiantly worth it to me considering the added reliability. The car also drives completely different on the street. The increase in low end and mid range torque was very substantial, so I didn't just gain power at the peaks.

Nice times, I have nearly the same set-up as you and my goal was high 11s. I will be installing a 9" and 4:11s before I head to the track tho, I hurt my 10 bolt the first time I shifted hard at over 6000 RPMs. I hope the 10 bolt holds up on the dyno, I'm shooting for the same numbers you make.
What injectors are you running? I'm seeing high 80s to mid 90 duty cycle on my 32lb racetronix injectors at 6000 RPMs.

I know it has potential but due to the setup and direction I decided to go with my car that won't happen. I grew up kart racing so road courses is where my real passion is, not drag racing.

Racetronix 32lb injectors. I don't know the duty cycle though. Fuel pressure is around 50 psi at idle with the vacuum line disconnected with the stock regulator.

As SpeedDemon mentioned, the gain is far more than .2/.2. On average our top-end, properly installed/adjusted/tuned/etc. will gain 100-140hp SAE at the wheels over stock and 10-15mph in the quarter mile. For the money we feel it is one of our best values considering the gain vs. longevity vs. the price of admission. Being 100% cnc'd from ports to valvejob etc. everyone is guaranteed that their money will buy the exact same amount of performance potential as well. We have been very fortunate that many of the fast guys come to us for that very reason

SpeedDemon, we are just happy to see the car running as it should. After all you went through in the past, our goal was primarily to provide equal or better top-end performance without the trade-offs. It's a lot tougher to get a stick car down the track with enough power to trap over 120 vs. autos that make average power. If you did as these guys suggest you probably would gain another quarter second & a couple mph from tire/gear changes. If the thing works as it is though, my inclination would be to leave it alone & just beat on it.

Take Care

Very nice times once again but dont try and make the LE set up look bad. Im making aprox 150hp over my last dyno, with my LE set up and I could drive it every day as a DD. Not sure what happened with your last set up so I cant speak about that. But I can tell you Im really happy with mine. Now I just need to wait for the track to open back up.

AI set ups are killer so dont get me wrong.

I dont bash AI at all I love there stuff and there numbers show their parts work great. Just think its pointless for people to knock other set ups.

Claiming they are equals is knocking AI. You do that all the time. You just don't know any better yet.

What LE cam was used in the run back at the time? Was it the 1.5 that had the float?

I don't know. Why does it matter? It is results from the same car complete package vs. complete package. If there was a problem with the package that was a problem with the package as delivered by the vendor, still an accurate comparison.

All I asked was a very simple question and it may not matter to anyone except for me and thats beside the point. I am not going to start a pissing contest so dont get so defensive.

I am curious if it was the LE1.5 224/230 high lift cam that ran low 12's which in its own right is pretty decent.

One complete package with a ported intake manifold that literally fell apart after 3000 miles with him not standing behind his work vs. one that is still going strong with an unported intake manifold with 6000+ miles on it. Not to mention the gains in power everywhere, the lowend/midrange gains are the most noticeable in a daily driver. I love how everyone loves to dismiss actual facts because they don't agree with them.

Unless my old threads/posts were deleted a simple search would show what happened with my old setup.

224/230 107 lsa 106 icl lift was in the low 600's. A cam that trashed a set of springs within an oil change interval and obviously was not tested for longetivity or reliability before being sold to the pulbic doesn't exactly impress me.

I think more to the point would be to compare your dyno chart to his.
