well...in 5 years whenever your car is done, like i said i'll show you my taillights, so you will need more than exhaust :-p

I had Oxbo in Joliet do mine several years ago. I bought all the parts from Summit myself (3-2.5" collector reducers, x pipe, and Dynomax bullets). Oxbo bent everything up and completely welded it, then made the turn-downs before the rear. They charged $300. It sounds awesome, and I would never want to put a catback on the car again. However, Oxbo did a crappy job welding it, so I had to take it off and have a friend fill a bunch of pinhole leaks with his welder. They also screwed up where the reducers attach to the pipe, and have a couple inches of tubing inside the reducers, killing flow I'm sure. I need to cut the reducers off and have new ones welded on.

I would if it was worth it to u. Its kinda a temp set up for just getting the car running. The straight pipe is not quite long enough, so the mufflers are on the ground.

How would that make it sound like ****? Isn't it the same as putting short duels with dumped bullets. I also do see how that's "ghetto" seeing how people just throw a foot of pipe with bullets. No disrespect just kinda confusing.

Well you need to go look at my thread. I got a ticket for no mufflers, with the exact setup you are thinking about running. AND I HAVE MUFFLERS. If you have a lowered car ground clearance is a bitch. Especially with 3". The sound is awesome and the performance is just as good. Here are some pictures of my ghetto *** setup.

This is how much ground clearance I have...NOT ALOT.

this is after I figured out a semi decent way to hang the setup. I got caught on an incline causing the header bolts to bend and having to re-tap holes as well. still never was great clearance, and this is a stock ride height car. I couldnt imagine on a lowered one what itd be like. could be worse .....

i was correct... im sorry but IMO a ypipe with 1 muffler/bullet at the end before the axle would look "ghetto"..

Don't dump it under the passenger seat. It sounds horrible. That's where my cutout was placed when I had my shorties and y-pipe. The only time it ever sounded decent was when I was above 3k and at WOT. Also, hearing what you guys paid for your duals, really makes me feel like I got an even better deal. For my header install, plug and wire install, universal x-pipe fabbed, and getting piping from the mufflers to out back, I only paid $300. Would've only been $200 if my Edelbrock shorty pieces of junk wouldn't have been such a PITA to take off.

haha. No, I didn't sleep with the mechanic. And yes, I went under and out. The only problem was that clearance wasn't the best after getting it done. So, a couple months later I took it back and had him move the mufflers back. So, he had to make me all new tailpipes. That ended up costing me another $120 or $125. I could've lived with the scraping though, probably. If I wouldn't have went back and had the mufflers moved, or if I had done it the way it is now, in the first place, my whole exhaust system (headers, x-pipe, mufflers, extra piping, and labor) would've been just under $800. But, right now, I'm sitting at right around $900 for it all, since I took it back up there. Still damn good considering all parts and labor costs are factored in.

Eh, too loud, no clearance.

Did the 3" Xpipe to dual 3" bullets with turndowns for about a year or so. Sounds badass, but you can't touch the dang throttle without alerting every cop in a 3 mile radius. Its like every time a did a WOT run, I had to immediately go hide in a parking lot somewhere.

I will tell you one cool thing though. I once raced this cocky, bolt on'd '01 SS off a light. I passed him in 2nd, hit 3rd so hard that the turns downs hit the ground and threw sparks all over the poor guy. It was late at night, must have looked cool as hell from behind.

Yeah,im still debating on what route im going. Duals would be nice but I also like the sound off my muffler and would love to hear it with my lt's and ory. Such a hard decision. That and im thinking of all the bumps and pot holes on that certain road/area we like to visit on summer nights. That and im all ready 260 in the hole to u and ur bro lmao,my wife wants to stab me,I can't stop spending money on this thing I call BIPOLAR.

I don't know about looks, never paid much attention, but the sound is horrid. My buddy has a 3rd gen with a carb'd 355 in,shortie headers,y-pipe with a bullet dumped right after the passenger seat. Let me be the first to say,it sounds like absolute ****. He loves it,I cringe everytime he starts it. Not including it rattles like crazy, and is even more horrid at wot. His car is half the reason im considering staying with my stock style exhaust set up lol.
