Dale, I wish my car wasn't "put away" right now. I'd swing by and let you hear it in person.

thats the truth.. i have 1 chambers before the axle.. you can hear my car 5 miles away.. no joke, i set the tripometer.. and kept getting on it leaving my house.. it took the sound a few seconds to get back to my house but my mom was on the phone and could hear it all the way to 5.3 miles away from my house
i NEVER get on it in town for this reason..

Let me be the first to say,it sounds like absolute ****. He loves it,I cringe everytime he starts it. Not including it rattles like crazy, and is even more horrid at wot. His car is half the reason im considering staying with my stock style exhaust set up lol.
i think it would look ghetto.. aand i totally agree on the sound.. absolute ****.. spend a few more bucks and have it sound good..

I don't have any good pics of it right now. I'll get it cleaned up sometime this week, and get all the road grime off the pipes, and take some pics. I don't have it clamped for easy removal. But, if the rear ever goes out or anything, I'll just chop it off, and put some flanges on it, so that it'll be easier to remove, if I ever have to do it again.

That's why you take it out the back. It'll quiet it down a decent amount, and you still get the awesome sound. It is still ****** loud though. lol. God I love it.

i dont think it would quiet it down that much.. it would be just another couple feet of pipe, would quiet it down inside just not outside..
mine is much louder because of my donkey cam..

jus thought id say hi to everyone here, i got a ws6 h/c, pacesetter longtubes with tsp true duals, going into an x pipe and then with dynomax bullets dumped (no cats). I need to tone the sound down for where i live and extend it to the back, so I have to add hi flow cats (i also need to extend it out back and add cats so i can register the car and be able to drive it lol). Do you think just adding the hi flo cats and keeping the bullets and then extending out back will be enough of a decrease in loudness? Or will I have to change to a quiter muffler still, as well as adding the cats?

Ive already gotten a few compalints about neighbors threatening to call the cops

first check to see what your towns law is about loudness of exhaust, if there isnt one.. it doesnt matter if they do call the cops.. if there is, get it toned down..

as for what you are doing.. i HIGHLY doubt that will be quiet enough for you.. all going out the back is going to do is quiet it down on the inside, wont do too much to help the outside loudness... highflow cats wont quiet it down much either..

i would look into a nice flowing mufflers that will quiet it down and then throw some cutouts on it.. that way its quiet when you need to be, and loud the rest of the time..

Adding cats might change the tone or raspiness of the exhaust note, but I don't think it will lower the decibel level. But add the cats first, see how you like it, then change the mufflers, do one thing at a time.
