To the OP.

I noticed you ran it on a Mustang dyno. Not to boost your ego or anything, but it will most likely creep over the 400rwhp mark if you take it to a dynojet!

I wonder what it would have dyno if it was a six speed car.

With better gearing along with his PT4000 and some sticky tires, this monster will be flying!

I figured with my 1.6rr my 224/230 becomes 238/245. So I was wondering ... I didn't see you say anything about them so ill assume there stock 1.5... that proly has somethin to do with it

Rocker ratio does not change the duration of the cam, just the lift.

His very first post says all the mods. Including 1.6s.

Zigroid,

Great numbers. I look forward to seeing your track times!

You need to read more! There are tons of LT1's making big power with near-stock heads. The LT1 is just like any other small block. Give it what it wants and it will post good HP numbers.

Yea, that's why I had said he was over .600 lift, but that was assuming he wasn't factoring in the cam lift at "just under .600" with the 1.6s that he mentioned a line or 2 below.

No one has an explanation for me, as to how that much lift is still making power on stock heads? :\

If you look at the flow sheets on stock heads they go pretty much static betwean .500 and .600. Probably not much gain or loss to be had. I think you more or less hit a point where you are getting all you can get out of the port.

Maybe one of the cylinder head guys can comment?

Nice Ford logo on the intake manifold haha.

Nice #'s there. 6500 for max HP. Hmm. Where do you see yourself actually shifting at when you're "racing"

been there, done that. going a little further this time. 4.11s I see how javier's car runs with 4.10s and a PT4000 with a near stock suspension and I just couldn't help but try and follow his foot steps.

the heads are stockish, yes, but they do have quality work done. the shop that did the work to them has a high 10 second all motor LT1 with their own ported heads so they know what they're doing. he has flowed countless LT1 and LS1 heads, he said that with the valve job and bowl work the head will flow around what a stock LS1 head flows, possibly a little more. how far out there is a cammed 390 rwhp LS1? not a far stretch. when you bring the LT1's heads up to stock LS1 standards you can make LS1 power. its not a far fetch but honestly I was still expecting MUCH less power.

here are some pics of the heads:

sorry for the large pics, wanted to preserve as much detail as possible.

also 96capricemgr is a smart guy and is only out to help all of us. he is 100% correct in his cam input when speaking about a stock bottom end. my bottom end can handle more RPMs than stock. had it been stock this cam would have NOT gone in there. I would NOT recommend this cam for a stock bottom!

this mustang dyno runs pretty even with the dynojets in the area. a friend has a 560 rwhp turbo mustang that makes the same power on PSI's mustang dyno and other dynojet dynos. I doubt the power increase will be much, if any. either way wont make me faster at the track

YES. if it doesnt back it up at the track I will be REALLY disappointed. I'll be the first one on here telling you guys I let you down too. I would take 300 rwhp and 11s all day over 390 rwhp and 12s.

the shop that did my heads has done heads for "stock" classes, not sure how similar to the classes you run, but they said they can easily see 450+ flywheel hp with "stock" LT1 heads.

haha the ford logo was a joke since most of my friends are ford guys.

my shift points are set at 6800. I wanted to shift as close to 7000 as possible. shift extensions for the stall dont fall below 5000 even on the 1->2 shift. looking at the graph with the filter off, that means I am over 360 rwhp at all times. can't wait for 4.11s to show up so I can actually put my powerband to use

get a lid and FTRA/SSRA. That or something custom. I think your numbers proved you need to do something.

Well you have a slightly retouched bottom end.
