Default Whats normal fuel pressure?

My car is showing around 38 when idling and under full throttle it shows about 44. Stays steady doesn't drop or go back and forth. I thought this sounded kind of low and so did the techs at work so I figured I would ask here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

That's normal, the fuel rail should show 39 or so with the motor not running
then 43.5 once you fire it up. Are you measuing with a mechanical gauge at
the fuel rail?

+1 and should hold that pressure too when the pump stops priming, and not drop fast or slow. Slow would be better than fast though Well, I guess relatively speaking... K... just, NM haha

Still is going to be what the regulator regulates it to So unless it's adjustable and has been messed with, it'll still be the same. Now, if you tested the pressure PRE-regulator, you'd get whatever the pump puts out for PSI. That's not what you do though.

Never heard that one. Smaller injectors (22#), but not lower fuel pressure.

Ok, good. I thought it was low but since its normal i'm happy. Its on my 95 Z28. I was using a mechanical gauge and hooking it up to the fitting behind the intake manifold.
