Yeah IDK, we'll see.. Ever since I got it I've been changing the tranny fluid every 2 months just for safety. (No shavings or anything after I got it from previous owner, even the fluid was clean).
Have the biggest tranny cooler I could find for it also. 29,200 BTU.

I'm not going to run it too much this summer

haha i guess thats right. but seafoam and maf cleaner go a long way on an LT1 with 100K+ miles

i was reading the CAM guide sticky and i think im going to go with the cc305 cam! it seems like the best suited for my needs which i want to PASS SMOG is the main thing!

Well sorry to bump, but uh, if you are going to save for a cam..... GO WITH SOME NEW HEADS!!! I just picked up a 94 Z28 with and LT1 block and LT4 heads. It also had a cam and full CAI from K&N and long tube header and full 4" Magnaflow exhaust. Also hasd a remap and tune. And hot coil plug wires, and a stage 3 clutch. IT IS SO GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

if your gonna do the cam swap, rebuild the heads while your at it...

also with the miles on your car you might could add a new oilpump with a high pressure spring while your doing the cam swap would be a good time to do it.
