Nope...although it would benefit your car if you did. A mail order would be all you would need at this point if you do.

It is possible for the new exhaust to cause the knock sensor to pull timing.

Id get a mail order tune just to be safe. That and u can pick up a few more ponies....

I wouldn't bother with one till you do something big like a cam or H/C package. If you get knock retard you can slap in the LT4 knock module. However if you don't have any plans to do anything more radical then you currently have, I'd go for it!

But no, you don't need one right now. The only thing you'd need it tuned for is injectors, otherwise you can harm your engine in the long run.

Save a tune untill you do more to the car. I only have pacesetter LT's with air/egr and the matching ypipe, all i needed was rear o2 sims and she runs just dandy. I found without the o2 sims it would run a bit off....in 6th gear it hummed along really strangly, like it was gutted. With the o2 sims it runs just as smooth as stock.

Which is odd since the rear O2s don't do anything accept give the computer something to compare against to make sure the cat/s is/are working. Close to what the fronts are reading, it'll throw a code to replace the cat. The sim is just there to keep the CEL/SES off.

the tune was worth the NEW smooth idle, raised rev limiter and the added timing advance, the fan control etc.. i was consistantly running 14.2s spinning in the heat with ugly DA 3000'+ after the tune and similar conditions i was running 13.8 next was drag radials bogg, clutch slippage,13.35 then the clutch EXPLODED aka TANERIZED

Once yo install the hearders, after a while you will notice a few slight driveablility issues that could use attention. I noticed that with my 97. If you have the funds, it doesn't hurt to get it tuned, otherwise wait a while till you acquire more mods.
