I swear to God this damn build is cursed!! Cursed, I say cursed!! They finally got the car put back together and took it out for a test drive. About 10 minutes into the drive, the car dies and wont start, So after the car got towed back to the shop, they find out the ******* bearings are spun! They weren't even worn that damn much. Now the Crank has to be sent to the machine shop, and Im out a car for another week atleast. Damn this is ******* pissing me off!!!

Where are you located in Colorado ? Spun bearings can be caused by a few
different things . Like debris falling into the motor during the build aka
(sloppy technician) , them spinning the **** out of the motor when they were test driving it are the two most common reasons bearings get spun .

I'd say the main/rod caps were not put back in their proper places or torqued correctly if it happened with that little mileage and the bearings were not worn much.
EDIT: Didn't realize it was a top end only job, sorry. Do you remember what your oil pressure looked like before it blew? They could have damaged the cam bearings on the install. Another reason it would do that was already mentioned above, over revving it, the rod bolts could have stretched and the bearing spun while this wouldn't show a lot of "wear" on the bearing like if it was old and worn out.
What bearings spun main or rod or both?

I am from Crowley County. It was a main bearing that got spun. The people working on it at the shop said I shouldn't be worried about reconditioning the rods, but they are a little worried about the block. Oil pressure seemed fine actually, and we didnt even get on it too much on the test drive.

Thats odd to have the main's go, its normally the rod bearings on a stock LT1 shortblock...
Makes me wonder if something (debris) got dropped in the engine and plugged an oiling hole. Yea, the block will prolly need line honed now. Sorry to hear that man.
