Prepping for my LE2 upgrade - Started today!!!
I'm getting ready to install my LE2 package (yea!) later this month. Right now I'm getting all my parts together and ensuring I have everything I need before I start.
Here are a few pics of the heads and intake before and after Lloyd worked them over (the intake pics aren't very good, but if you look closely you can see a lot of the reshaping that was done inside the intake...). I also have been cleaning up a water pump that will be my new electric pump.
I'll post more pics as I get further along...

oooooh, I have been seriously contemplating picking up some cores to send to LE and have him port them for me. The exhaust ports look really nice but uhh where's the good stuff?? Help push me off the fence and post a pic of the intake runners!!

Just send in yours. If not, Lloyd will more then likely already have some sitting around he can make up for ya. Then if yours are in good condition he will buy them from you so your not sitting on a extra set. So you want some help getting pushed off the fence huh...let's see, your car is really slow and sucks donkey dic*. I've seen V6's faster...does that motivate you do get the work done now

I've got a couple question for you guys - Does anyone have a guide for dropping the engine/tranny out the bottom? (I read one a while back, but it didn't really talk about all the disconnected lines, wires, etc) I'm going to use a lift in a shop, so it shouldn't be too difficult, I'm more concerned about ensuring all the appropriate things are disconnected (and in the right order).
I may need to see about getting/fabbing a hub R&R tool depending on if the shop has one.
I'll try to take some better pics of the intake ports when I get home from work today...

Disconnect throttle cables from TB
Disconnect coolant lines
Drop fan assembly out the bottom to give you room to work.
Disconnect brake booster vac hose.
Disconnect grounds (coil stud, starter and just above the starter)
Disconnect fuel lines (or just flip entire fuel rail up onto windshield)
Disconnect all wiring harness clips, set harness aside. (including trans, starter and O2)
Disconnect front brake lines from ABS
Disconnect steering shaft
Disconnect Y pipe from headers
Unbolt AC compressor from Acc bracket, tie back to keep it out of the way.
Remove driveshaft (cap/bag trans, it will bleed all over once tilted)
Disconnect tranny cooler lines from radiator
Disconnect oil cooler lines (most remove the oil cooler alltogether and leave it off)
That's all I can think of.
Lower is slowly so you can keep the AC compressor out of the way and avoid breaking anything you forgot.
Remember to cap all fluid lines so they don't leak and make a mess.
Take lots of pictures, so you know where things belong.
Keep all bolts/small parts in ziplock bags with labels.
My car's been down that road a few times LOL
